We just got back last week and ate at Trail's End for the first time. We had dinner there the night we arrived. There was an hour wait and we did not have ADRs since we did not know when we would arrive. It was worth the wait! We even cancelled another dining reservation later in the week to eat here again.
The ribs and chicken are good as you'd expect but all the other food is good too. I'm not a big cold salad fan, but I really enjoyed their coleslaw and cucumber salad as well as making a tossed salad. The veggies (I liked the green beans best) were fresh and not overcooked. The cornbread...mmmm. Everything was just better quality than I expected.
I like that they have sweet tea, it is quite good and compliments the country food. My favorite item was the red velvet cake. It was excellent quality...like you'd get if you ordered a slice from a fancire restaurant for $9. You get the idea.
We will definately return!
I wish I would have tried breakfast!
