Looking for opinions on the best luggage sets

DH and I looking to buy new luggage. Our present suitcases are ancient and in desperate need of replacement. Also our daughter will be doing some traveling overseas this summer and is looking to purchase some luggage of her own.

We would like opinions on what you feel are good quality sets? Is Samsonite the best? Pictures, links would be helpful too. Also does anyone have ideals for children's luggage. What do your children use for their things?

Lastly we haven't flown in years so we are wondering what size is okay if you just need a carry on for some trips?

Until our last set, we always had great luck with Atlantic luggage. They were very well made. The 5 yo set is still in great shape, even though it crossed the Atlantic at least 5x in the last 3 yrs. The 3 yo set is showing definite signs of wear, though, and I'm very displeased with it. They may have made improvements again, though, so it's worth a look.

TravelPro is one of the consistently highest rated brands of luggage and it is what we'll purchase next time we buy luggage.

I recently purchased Delsey luggage for us. I highly recommend the Delsey Helium Fusion. I purchased ours at TJ Maxx for a fraction of the manufacturers recommended price.

The luggage is ultra lightweight, turns and rolls easily and is has many extras that makes packing so easy.

I would also recommend this for your children. I would just let them choose one of the brighter colors perhaps.
