We had to cancel our trip that was planned for April due to twin sis's knee surgery...so now I feel as though I have to start all over again.

Can someone tell me the best hotel for 2 adults/3 children (or should we just go back to renting a townhome?).....

We will prob only be 4 nights......

Any suggestions would be great...we are trying to budget this as much as we can but also want something reliable and clean. :)

THANKS!
Donna

Not sure the ages of your children - but you may want to conside the ASMu Family Suites or the PQFQ room with a trundle bed unit.

I recommend Comfort Suites Maingate East. With the Orlando Magic card, you can get it for around $80/night. It sleeps six and has free deluxe continental breakfast - pastries, muffins, yogurt, cereal, fruit and make your own waffles.

I just rented a 3 bedroom/2 bath condo at Windsor Palms tonight. We are only staying for 2 nights, Fri and Sat because the rest of the week we are staying at BCV. But DVC is so expensive on Fri and Saturday's we decided to look for something off property the first two nights. Anyhow long story short, I got this condo for 2 nights for $195 total including all cleaning fees and taxes.

We usually stay at the Grand Floridian, but this time chose to stay in a vacation home, wow, we loved the private pool. They gave us a free welcome pack upon arrival, and treated us really well. apparently all of their homes are 4 miles to disney, so it takes just as long to get to the parks.

we stayed in Cinderellas castle

If you are passing on a Disney Resort I suggest the Hotel Royal Plaza in Downtown Disney. We stayed there twice when I got really good deals there, discounted room + 4th night free, etc.. I did get something recently from the hotel for a discounted rate promotion but I discarded it already.

All the rooms were renovated after the hurricaine. The rooms have two queen beds (a lot of hotels now have only full size beds) and they all also have a pull out loveseat. It's a nice, clean hotel and the room does work well for five. Nice lobby, good size pool, on site restaurant, and right near Downtown Disney. We're from NYC and are used to walking a lot so we walked to Downtown Disney and back although I have heard others post they thought it's too far. I guess if you are used to driving everywhere maybe, but it really was only ten minutes or so.

I'm not sure if this is still the case, but when we stayed there the Downtown Disney busline started on that side of the road, I believe the HRP was the second or third pickup so we always got a seat in the morning to the parks. By the time the bus got to the hotels on the other side like the Grosvenor (sp?) it was standing room only most of the time for the opening time buses.

We liked being close to Downtown Disney for our arrival and departure days. We'd go for sundaes at Ghiradelli, rent boats at the lake, shop and even though it's not my favorite, a certain someone in my family insists on eating at the Rainforest place.

HTH.
