Well we're going in 30 days and this will be my wife's 3rd trip and my 18th so wondered what kinds of new things we could maybe do.

Little suggestions like is there a specific type of food we should try or a drink. Anything else as well, would be welcome.

Just trying to put together a few little new things to try that are not necessarily new but just haven't been done before.

Any ideas?

Also, apologies if this is in the wrong forum. :thumbsup2

I've heard the grey goose slushies in France are something to try if you haven't already. I plan to try one in Oct.:) Also people talk about doing the waste management and some of the new things at innoventions at Epcot.

Yeah i've heard about the Grey Goose slushies. Not really a Vodka drinker, but could probably make an exception! :woohoo:

You must take your wife to DTD and try the Pop Rock Martini at Fultons Crab House. Go to the front of the "boat" where the you will find the bar.

Hiya! If you are going in 30 days, you should be there for the start of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival (it starts on Sept 25th - the day I arrive ). The Festival offers a TON of new food options, in snack sizes, as well as beer and wine from all over the world. They also have new entertainment and in general, the World Showcase will be a slightly different place.

Have you been to Rex @ DTD? We were there in Feb, and it's fantastic theming. The food was also excellent, not too expensive and portions were ha-UUUUGGGGEEE (like, I could have shared my sammich with two other people). I couldn't get ressies when we went, and the way they were doing their stand-by was annoying as all get out - but they hadn't been open long, and I'm hoping they've resolved that cluster.

OH - also - at the outdoor concert area across from America @ World Showcase, they'll be having random (and I mean RANDOM) bands/musical guests thru the F&WF... I don't have the schedule memorized but it seems like it was everything from like Frankie Valley to KC and the Sunshine Band to En Vogue.

Have you guys ever rented one of the boats at GF? My DH and I did that 2 years ago while our DS went on the pirate adventure. It was really nice to just cruise around the lagoon, and we got some nice pics that we couldn't have taken any other way. Also, my DH and a friend went parasailing and loved it. She could pick-a-pearl in Japan and have it put in a nice setting.

Has she had a Dole Whip? Fried Snickers bar? Cinnamon roll at Main Street Bakery? Strawberry Soup at 1900 Park Fair?

Oh we'll need to try the Cinnamon roll.

Have to admit that we've been to Epcot twice when F&W has been on and not really tried anything.

Have noticed it'd probably be better trying something during the day as it tends to be quite busy at night. The only thing we've tried at F&W was the Pina Colada which was...strong...and good.

My favorite things to take the time to do are:
Beauty & the Beast Play at DHS
Lion King play at AK
EPCOT: Watching the street performer at France - The Drums performance at Japan, the candy lady at Japan
Taking the boat rides from Epcot to DHS and back

I highly recommend the Segway Tour.
I've done it twice and it's great.

Also, I agree with Lion King at AK.
That is a must do on every trip!!

Go to beaches and cream at beachclub hotel ands get the kitchen sink ice cream.also go at check out the other hotels

One fun place we found on our last trip was Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian. Their chicken lettuce wraps are soooo good, and not expensive (about $8, if I remember correctly). They're also fairly healthy (chicken, veggies, and some sauce). I'm planning to go there at least once on my trip in October - it's a nice place to relax!

Go the Mara at the AKL and have a bowl of the butternut squash soup. OMG it taste like pumpkin pie. It is heavenly.
