Hi everyone! I just booked a trip to WDW that is coming up shortly. I will be a solo traveler, so please recommend something that you think a solo traveler would enjoy. I have been to WDW many times, and I am starting to think of some different experiences that I haven’t done yet. I’m having some trouble thinking of different things, but I have a couple in mind.

Here are things that I have done:
- Miniature golf
- Backstage Magic Tour
- Wild Africa Trek
- Steam Train Tour
- Behind the Seeds Tour
- Keys to the Kingdom Tour

Things I am considering:
- Atlanta Braves Spring Training
- Disney After Hours (at MK)
- Caring For Giants Tour

I am open to anything else that you might recommend.

Thoughts on Spring Training: I am not a fan of either team that will be playing, but I have always wanted to attend a Spring Training game. I’m an Angels and a Royals fan so I would really just be going for the experience. Are the Disney characters out to take pictures with them in sports attire? Another question I have is what are the Disney busses like? Do they have any busses going to ESPN Wide World of Sports to and from the theme parks?

Disney After Hours sounds really interesting to me. I just don’t know if I want to spend $89 for it, but I have heard so many great things about it.

I have had Caring For Giants on my radar to do for several trips, but haven’t been able to fit it in.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

DW and I just took the Caring for giants tour. We thought it was a great tour. See my trip report here:

We did the Behind the Seeds tour a few years ago. Interesting but not great. But then we are avid gardeners and didn't get much out of it. The CM who gave us the tour was rather new to Disney. She had the script but was not very dynamic.

Thank you for the link. I will definitely consider that tour.

EMM if you are a big fan of 7DMT, PP, and/or Pooh.
Thank you for your suggestion. EMM is one thing I know that I won’t do. I enjoy those attractions. I just can’t fathom spending that money for only 3 attractions open. I also don’t usually eat breakfast while at WDW.

They also just started new (free) tours at Rafiki Planet Watch. It goes backstage at the animal care areas. I'm absolutely planning on doing one when I go in 2 weeks!

Will you be there for Flower and Garden? They have those tours, so Gardens around the World, and the Royal Tea Garden which are paid, but there is the English Tea Garden, which I think is free. They also haven't announced any presentations in the Festival Center, but maybe they will closer to the time, and those could be interesting.

I just found out about the tour at Rafiki’s. That is definitely a possibility. AK is my favorite park.

I will be there for Flower & Garden (my favorite festival), but those tours don’t really interest me. Maybe the free one.

DAH was so worth it for me. I went on so many rides!

It was very refreshing to have an emptier park, even though my night was sold out(1/20/18), it was not crowded at all. I wish it was offered during other times of the year, but I am glad I got to experience it.

DH and I really like the Savor the Savannah tour. We have gone on it x2 and enjoyed our selves very much. Since you have done the Wild Trek, the Boma is the same but you get to spend more time there. There are also drinks included, the African Beer is really good!

Does the Aqua Seas Tour interest you? My family has done Dive Quest many times and have really enjoyed the backstage area and the aquarium.

I also enjoyed the Illuminations Dessert Party. I am not a huge dessert person, more savory for me. The Cheese Fondue was so good!! My table was by the bar and right up front. I was super pleased. I like that there is seating and enjoy sitting with other people.

We were going to try the Highway in the Sky dining experience, but when they changed the Poly stop from Trader Sam's to the lobby and a couple menu changes, we canceled our booking. Instead we did our own tour and it was so much fun.

I was going to suggest Savor the Savannah tour also.
Or the evening Savannah tour over at AKL, I forget the exact name

Have you gone to see Yehaa Bob at POR?

Only buses that usually go to WWoS on a regular basis are from the all stars. They don’t go to the theme parks from there.

This.

I took the bus over to all stars then switched to the one for WWoS. That was a few years ago, though, and I think if I were going now I probably would just get an Uber.

Went to a Red Sox Braves game and really enjoyed being so close to the field. It's so much smaller than Fenway that you really have great views.

Very pleasant way to spend an afternoon. And I was solo, too!

Thank you! I’m very convinced to do the night event at MK now.

I don’t drink alcohol so that is the reason why I wouldn’t do the evening savannah experience.

I’ve always thought about the aqua tour. I just don’t know, because I’ve always had a fear of snorkeling.

If I was to ever to a dessert party, I think it would be for Illuminations so that is a great suggestion. Thank you.

I’m trying to save any AKL for when I finally stay there. It’s on my bucket list to stay there. :D

I have not seen Yehaa Bob, but I have heard a lot about him.

Thank you for this review. Is it still worth going if you aren’t a fan of the teams?

I would also nix the Savor the Savannah if you do not drink alcohol. Good idea!

From what I understand the Aqua Seas tour does not use scuba diving gear, but does use a snorkel and tank but no weights. You stay at the top of the aquarium and have an amazing view of all of the inhabitants. May not be your tour if snorkeling is not in your comfort zone.

DAH is awesome, I hope you can take advantage of it. Such a great experience!
