I am looking for some new Disney projects to prepare for and/or take on our upcoming May trip to WDW. You guys are so creative and I love to "lift" ideas from you.

Last time I scrambled to get everything done in a month but this time I want to start early.

Because of the Creative DISsers, I have already done the following and will do some of them again:
- tie dye t-shirts
- LGMH with googly eyes
- Large LGMH for stroller
- Door "Welcome" poster for other guests to sign
- Disney Activity book for airplane for a 2 year old
- Mickey Christmas Balls
- Disney Scrapbook
- Daily Disney Itinerary (Brief) in accordian mini-book
- Disney clipboard

I started to do an autograph book and will have to continue to work on that.

However, now I would like to try some new crafts. Please post pictures if you have them.

Our May trip will include grandparents, DH, DD2 and myself.

Many thanks in advance!!

Oh I remember your thread about the activity book for your DD! It was awesome! :thumbsup2

I'm one of those people who keeps her Christmas stuff up until mid-January (at least)...because we don't get things up at Thanksgiving. ;) Anyway, I still have Christmas on the brain. LOL

I like making tin punch ornaments for my tree, but really they could be used other ways as well. A couple years ago I made some for the family. I had to turn off the flash because of the glare off the "tin" and I just used DD's little camera w/o zoom, so they're a bit grainy, but here are 2 of the ones I did.

For these, I traced a Mickey icon and re-sized it until it fit inside the rim of a frozen lemonade can. Then I made a series of dots around the tracing that were evenly spaced. Put the lid on a piece of board & place the time of a small finishing nail; then hammer the nail until it pierces the lid. I use hot-glue for the trim & to add a hangar on the back.

I looked all over the tree but couldn't find this one to take a new photo - this one is awful, but maybe you can get the idea.

This was made with the Crayola Model Magic Compound with tiny black beads for eyes. I think I made his nose with the compound, but I've done other snowmen with that stuff & just painted a wooden toothpick orange & cut off the end for the nose. To make him hang I put a tiny gold eyelet screw in his head. I dipped the screw threads in some tacky glue first & then inserted it before he dried...same with the eyes & nose. I could have sworn he had a lime green ribbon around his neck for a scarf. (I always add the ribbon after they dry though.) :confused3 I wish I knew where he was! :(

Wow! What creativity! I will definitely try the Crayola Model Magic or something similar and make my own Mickey snowman -- that is adorable! Maybe I'll try it in the shape of a flower since we're going in May during the Flower Show...hmmm, I'll need to work on that...sounds like fun! I'll need to keep thinking about this.

And thanks for the kind words on the activity book, my DD still plays with it each time I let her...some of the pages are now in disrepair, but she's loving it and that's what counts! I'm hoping it survives for our May trip so I don't have to make a new one!:goodvibes
