I know we have talked about this many times but I am still having a hard time grasping what the new terminology is for the loops. Of course CRO is of absolutely no help, I usually have to explain things to them (not their fault that they havent actually been to the places or dont have accurate info).

My question is, what will the different sites be termed as when the upgrades are done?

When I go to make a ressie and I want the least expensive site with electric, water and sewer, what do I ask for?

I just cant seem to get this square.

Thanks

To my understanding there are still some full hook-ups left, so these would be the least expensive.

I thought that all the full hookups were going away and there would only be prefered and premium instead of full and prefered..:confused3

I have full-hookup booked for Oct. 2009. 1600 thru 1900 is to remain full hook-up.

Actually, there is still a lot of confusion on the final outcome of the sites.

Some people have been told that after the upgrades are complete, ALL former Full Hook UP will be reclassified as Preferred or Premium depending on the loop. Now, on the other hand other folks have been told that due to the location of some loops (mostly folks are hearing 1600-1900) that they will remain classified as Full Hook Up.

When you look at the original classifications Preferred had the addition of cable TV over a FHU site and they were in a "preferred" location. The question is, does the addition of cable change the site to preferred?

Only time will tell, but my money is on the demise of the FHU classification.

Hey, you forgot the newest classification they are just putting in. Isn't it going to be the premimum pet pool loop....:lmao:
Actually, I think the back loops, 1600 - 1900 loops, furtherest from everything will keep the old classification of full hookup because of their proximity to other facilities. Me thinks the Fort's grand planners realized it wasn't fair to charge the same rate without the goodies to go with it.
Just like the 100, 200 and 300 loops staying preferred versus premimun cause Mother Nature dictated that expansion was out of the question.

now here's an interesting concept, what if those are all prefered overflow. You get them as a full but, if you request prefered and the others are full, they put you there at the prefered cost. Now that sounds like Disney..:lmao:

Sort of like flying - you may be sitting next to somebody who paid half the fare you did, but you go to the same airport and arrive at the same time.

1700 and 1900 are currently preferred sites. We just came home and I was there for 3 months and they were preferred not full hookup. However, prior to leaving I spoke with one of the "higher ups" and asked about which loops will be full hookup when all of the loops have been modified. We have a full hookup reservation for next fall and I wanted to know where we would be placed. I was told that AFTER all of the loops are renovated, 1600-1900 will be converted back to full hookup, pet loops. They will be the only full hookup sites.

It doesn't sound like something Disney would do but, I hope it happens..full hookup with cable would be great. With the Golf cart, we don't normally care which loop were in. We have our favorites of course but, they are not deal breakers...

So Scott did we clarify this enough for you ? :lmao:

I have a full hookup reservation for December 2009, so apparently the classification is staying in some way.

I booked a preferred site and was placed in the 1900 loop over New Years....we moved to the 300's as soon as a spot opened up. So, it seems to me Disney is leaving their options open as to whether 1600-1900 is full or preferred. I just KNOW many others in that loop were paying full hook up price and I was being gouged preferred.

According to John at the Front Desk, 1600 & 1900 will be the only full-hook up loops remaining at FtW after the reno's are completed. I tend to trust John because he's worked the F.D. for over 15 years and befriends the otters.

All other loops that have not been super-sized will be preferred and the super-size sites will be premium but will not have kegs o' beer or vats of kungaloosh. Beer stealing otters are available with all levels of sites, but you must request one when you first make your ressie. There are no otter "add-on's".

Partial hook-up loops remain as 1500 & 2000, but have CATV.

As far as I can tell, location is the only differentiation between full and preferred in the 'final scheme' (that I was told, anyhow).

What is a full hookup missing that a preferred or premium has?
In the original site designations, a full hook up was only water/sewer/electric (W/S/E). A preferred added cable (W/S/E/C) and had a prefered location i.e 100, 200, 300 loop...
