Looking for Live Theatre or Comedy Club

Looking for a live professional theatre/dinner theatre or comedy club within moderate driving distance of WDW. We'll be staying on property and looking for some way to stay out of the heat next summer in the evening. All adults group. Will have a car...don't want to drive toooo far. Any help is appreciated!!

there are a number of theaters in Orlando. What is showing depends on when you are visiting. Check out the Friday Weekend section of the local newspaper (Orlando Sentinel) on line a few months before your visit. That should tell you what is operating at the time. Then check the individial websites for specifics. Someone at the Orlando Convention and Visitors Bureau should be able to help you also. Some of the Theaters are in the downtown area, not too far from WDW. Comedy clubs also. My one warning is about some of the dinner shows in the tourist area. Yes, they are live theater BUT they can be very expensive for what you get. I have been to only 2 of them. One was AWFUL ("would I like beef or shrimp?", "how is it prepared?", "in sauce", "what type of sauce?", "the same sauce") If I hadn't won the tickets, I would have been very upset. The second one was not as bad but not great either. So if a dinner show is in your plans, get strong recommendations for whichever one you go to.

Last weekend on restaurant.com I bought a few $25 certificates (for a few bucks each) for Sleuth's Mystery Dinner Theatre.
I have never been and always wanted to check them out.
This weekend the $25 certificate will cost $3. Use code SAVORY at check out.

I also saw on their website that Sleuth's has a 10pm Friday improv comedy show. They posted anyone will love this show if they love "Whose Line is it Anyway?".

Right on 192 by the Celebration entrance is also a Bonkerz comedy club. I have never been there though.

some of the touring comics show up on pollstar.com if they are playing more of the mainstream venues. The site is mostly for music though.

go to pollstar.com, search and select orlando, then put your dates in on the middle right side (you will see where)

It did pick up Doug Standthorpe and a few others for when im there.
