Slim pickings right now.

Looking for a great pool/lazy river, probably spending most of the week at the resort. One bedroom w/pull out couch is fine.

If nothing else opens up, there are lots of Westgates open now, are any of them better than the others (not worried about a timeshare presentation, I can easily ignore and say no).

TIA

Mystic Dunes is showing spring dates. It is nice and has a feature pool with a slide.

I don't think you'll see a lot of options until you're getting closer to your date. We like the condos at the Marriott world, mostly the Sabal Palms and have stayed there many times. I don't usually see dates for those until about 3 to 4 months before my travel date. This past time we stayed at the Sheraton Vistana because there were no dates open when we booked about 5 to 6 months ahead of our travel date. We did like the Sheraton very much and I'm pretty sure that they have one bedroom units if that's what you need. We stayed in a two bedroom- two bathroom condo.

One note about Mystic dunes, they can be high-pressure with the timeshare. We stayed there a few years ago right after they started renovating in a one-bedroom unit with a pullout couch and it was very nice. Not as close to the parks as the Marriott or the Sheraton but I would stay there again.

Mystic Dunes has a resort fee now, I think. So don't be surprised by that.

I think Westgate Town Center has a water park but it has an entry fee. Also I can't recommend any Westgate resort due to their sales practices.

I would wait. Lots of II options near WDW.

for spring break, you may want to pick a few top options and put in an ongoing request as you never know when villas will be deposited by their owners and become available.

I don't think you can do an ongoing request when looking for getaways. Just keep checking often.

We've had luck in years past with Marriotts. I agree, Sabal Palms was great. Grande Vista was just okay, Harbour Lake was great when kids were little.

We had family stay at Mystic Dunes in February inbound through Interval and there was no resort fee. I have heard cash guests are charged a resort fee, though.
