Looking for info

Can anybody tell me if there is a comprehensive website for Disneyland? I am looking for info about historical attendance, how far in advance character dining PS's can be made, etc.

Also, we are planning a vacation there this summer and have the choice of three dates.
1) May 27-June 1 -- Memorial Day weekend but we would not be at the parks on Sat.

2) July 30-Aug. 4 these dates may be somewhat flexible as long as we are in California on the 30th

3) another possibility would be June 17-June 21 --again somewhat flexible as we would need to be there on the 17th

Any thoughts on any of these dates? Is one better than the other and if so why? thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

You can ps hotel character meals 60 days out and in-park meals 6 weeks out.

As for the best time frame--I'd go with your June dates. Memorial Day weekend is traditionally packed and it wouldn't matter if you were there on Saturday or not. Everyday will be crowded. June will still be crowded, but probably the most managable.

I agree with Jen. The July/August dates will be packed and probably hot. And any holiday weekend will also be very, very busy. I think your June dates are pretty good, beautiful weather and not too crowded.

Disneyland Character Dining

Disneyland has several unique and fun opportunities for character dining. They include:

GOOFY'S KITCHEN
Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel features character buffets for brunch and dinner. The breakfast buffet has a bountiful spread including Mickey Mouse waffles, and the lunch and dinner buffets feature carved beef and ham as well as several other entrées, a dessert bar, and salad bar. While you eat, the "classic" characters come around for a visit.

Brunch runs from 7 to 1pm A.M. daily, and the price is $24.77for adults and $13.62 for children. Dinner is held from 5 to 9 P.M. daily, and the price is $34.69 for adults and $13.62 for children. For priority seating, call (714) 781-DINE.

MINNIE AND FRIENDS AT THE PCH GRILL
The PCH Grill in the Paradise Pier Hotel offers a buffet breakfast with all the traditional favorites. Minnie Mouse, along with a few of her friends, visit the tables as you eat.

Breakfast is served from 6:30 to 11 A.M. daily. The price is $19.99 for adults, $10.99 for children 3 - 11. For priority seating, call (714) 781-DINE.

HAPPY CAMPERS BREAKFAST AT STORYTELLERS CAFE
Disneyland's newest resort, the sumptuous Grand Californian Hotel, is home to a daily breakfast offering both an à la carte menu and a farmers' market buffet. Chip 'n Dale meet and greet guests and there is both music and plenty of photo ops.

Breakfast is from 6:30 to 11 A.M. Prices are $19.99 for adults, $10.99 for children 3 - 11, and $4.99 for children under 3. For priority seating, call (714) 781-DINE.

BREAKFAST IN THE PARK AT THE PLAZA INN
The only character meal that is actually held inside the Disneyland park is the breakfast offered daily at the Plaza Inn located on Main Street. The food is served from a food-court style venue, meaning you can go to the different counters, choosing whatever you like. A wide range of the "classic" characters are on hand to pose for pictures and sign autographs.

The cost is $19.99 for adults, $10.99 for children 3 - 11, and no charge for children under 3. No reservations are available.

Honestly all of your dates will be crowded. Late May / Memorial Day will be crowded and botht the June and July/August dates are summer. If those were my only options I would say go with the late June dates. It will be crowded but the weather will be more managable then in July/August which will be very hot.

Thanks everyone for their input. The info about the character meals was especially helpful!

I forgot to mention in my first post that we have been to WDW twice, June 27-July 3 and July 26-Aug. 2 so crowded is the only way we have ever experienced Disney! Also, we live in the Midwest so we are used to the heat as well. I am still toying with our plans and anxiously waiting to see if we will use snow days this year which will change the school schedule.

Those character breakfasts have changed recently-- PCH is now Lilo and Stitch and Plaza Inn is now a Princess breakfast.

I'm almost tempted to do the Lilo and Stitch one this year :space:
