Looking for ideas for DS's halloween costume

My son is 4 1/2 & I'm having a hard time finding a halloween costume for him to wear to MNSSHP in September because of the heat. Seems like all of the boys costumes are full body suits & he would sweat to death. Anyone have any ideas? He's into caracters such as buzz lightyear, power rangers, cars, etc.

They have Lightning McQueen and Mater soft "cars" that go over ones head and have suspender like straps. He could easily wear that over shorts and a tshirt. I believe disneyshopping.com has them.
