Looking for help prioritizing FP+ selections

Our trip will be Aug 3-9, no hoppers, staying onsite so we'll be able to make FP+ selections 60 days out.

I'd really appreciate the assistance of some veterans in prioritizing which FP to try for first, when my booking window opens. I know it'll be hard to get FOP at only 60+1. I expect MMRR will be tough so I've put it on our last day. Times I'm shooting for are approximate. I'm also open to opinions on our choices about which rides to RD.

All of this is assuming that things stay the same regarding BG, that DHS tiers remain the same, and that Ratatouille isn't open yet.

Monday: AK
FOP 10am
Navi 11am
Kali 1pm
(This is an EMH day; my plan is to avoid the EMH dash for FOP, and instead ride Dinosaur, Triceratop Spin, that other Dino coaster, EE, then try to get to KS around regular opening time.)

Tue: DHS
SDD 9a
TSMM 10a
ST 11a
(Planning to head to RnRC at RD; MFSR at park close)

Wed: MK in evening only
BTMRR: 7p
7DMT: 8p
Space: 9p

Thur: MK
BTMRR: 10a
JC: 11a
Splash: 1p

Fri: Epcot
Soarin: 10a
Mission Space: 11a
SE or Nemo: anytime
(If Ratatouille is open at that time, we would try to get FP and rope drop Soarin, or else RD Ratatouille.)

Sat: DHS
MMRR: any time
Aliens: any time
RnRC or TSMM: any time
(RD MFSR; possibly SDD at park close)

Thanks for your help!

Honestly, I say start with your must haves first. Then work your way to the other park dats. I’d do AK and HS first. Also, I’m not sure I’d waste a FP on JC since in the evenings it tends to have less of a wait or other FP’s open after you use your initial 3.

Unless something has changed, AK has 2 tiers. Navi and FOP are the two Tier 1 attractions. You are not able to have both attractions for your first 3 FPs.

Wow, surprised to hear that Navi is a Tier 1, as so many people on here slam it. Thx for the info.

FOP that early in the trip, especially that early in the day, is a long shot. It should be relatively easy to get any of your MK choices (other than 7DMT) or your Epcot choices early in your trip. Maybe consider switching your days to increase your chances of getting FoP, if it's something you really want to ride.

As for Na'vi, it's not in the same league with FoP, so it suffers in comparison, but if you take it on it's own merits, it's well done. Rather than a thrilling adventure, it's a calming dark ride and I think the Shaman is the best animatronic in WDW. This trip we'll be booking Na'vi because I'm solo with DD and she doesn't meet the height requirement for FoP. There are many people with motion sickness who can't do the screens in FoP or can't fit comfortably into/onto the ride vehicle. In many ways they're not equal rides, but I get why they are the two tier 1 rides at AK.

My strategy is to go farther out for the harder to get fps. Our must haves are FOP and MMRR, We are only going for 4 days so I'm going for MMRR 60+ 4 then FOP 60+ 3. I really want to do AK on 60+ 2 but it depends on if I can get it or not. Depends on how fast they are going, I may switch up my AK and HS days.

You can't have FoP & NRJ. They are both Tier1. I'd grab a FoP and try to RD Navi. Our family typically RDs Navi, then we go have breakfast or we go and RD Safari and EE. You can likely get SDFP+ for the rides in Dinoland.

Tue: DHS
SDD 9a
TSMM 10a
ST 11a

I think this is fine but it might be difficult getting SDD at 9am. you might have better luck with TSMM and/or ST earlier. But, your strategy is fine. If you are planning on riding Tower of Terror, I would RD that first before RNRC.

Wed: MK in evening only
BTMRR: 7p
7DMT: 8p

Thur: MK

I would look for something besides the JC FP+. It is usually available as a SDFP+. I'd try for somehting else.

Fri: Epcot
Soarin: 10a
Mission Space: 11a
SE or Nemo: anytime

are you not interested in TT? If you are, I would get a FP for it and then RD Soarin. Of course all of this changes if they open Ratatouille.

Sat: DHS
MMRR: any time
Aliens: any time
RnRC or TSMM: any time

I would hit MFSR later in the evening.

Thanks. AK has EMH that morning. Do you have any experience doing Navi first thing during EMH? Wondering if we could then hit EE and Dinosaur with the rest of our EMH time. (Since I can't FP+ both FoP and Navi, I'm thinking I'll try to get a FP+ for KS instead of Navi.)

Thanks for spotting that; we'd be happy to do TSMM first. And thanks for the tip on ToT. One of my sons won't want to ride that, so maybe the rest of us will do Tot and he can go straight to RnR.

We usually ride TT as singles, so unless the SR situation changes, we're happy enough with that, and maybe not truly RD anything that morning. (Unless Ratatouille opens, which I think we have good odds of, in which case we'll RD that or try to get FP+. Guess we'll have to see if they alter Tiers at all with that opening.)

I was not able to get a fastpass for Flight of Passage even 61 days before! I was able to snag one for 5pm after looking constantly for several weeks. So if that’s a priority, move your AK day to later in the trip.

I did AK EMH last Monday. We were let in around 7:35. I rope dropped Navi, then Everest twice, and got in line for Dinosaur before 9am. Also I walked slowly and stopped for lots of pictures! If you’re not rope dropping Flight of Passage, everything is a walk-on until 8:30ish

We did it back in 2017 just weeks after Pandora opened up. We were through security by 7:30 and at the bridge by 7:45. We walked right on Navi. IMO it is not worth a FP. I'll be fine if I never ride it again. I really feel like Disney screwed the pooch on this ride - should have been a little more exciting. Anyway, off my soapbox, we then walked over to EE and rode twice, then walked back and rode the safari. We walked on Kali after the safari and then made our way back over to FOP for our 11am FP.

The TOT queue takes longer and if you want to ride it - I would def do it first.

I'm going in July so I'm in the same boat. Epcot isn't much of a park for us right now - so I'm in a wait and see with Epcot.
