Looking for good reviews for Ohana

I loved Ohana....now I did not like everything but I think even at your faviorte restaurant you wont like EVERYTHING they have on the menu, but I like it enough to recommend.

We are going 2x on our 15 day trip in a few months so that should say enough.

You will find good reviews and bad reviews for every restaurant. I agree with a PP that you have to form your own opinion. But we love Ohana. Our DD's love to hula and do the coconut races. And we have never had bad food. If I could live on only one thing for the rest of my life, it would be Ohana bread pudding!

'Ohana is great with kids but, especially if you have a later reservation, is also a nice place for a couple. If you are in the main dining room you can watch the castle changing colors in the distance; maybe even see some of the Electric Water Pageant. Disney magic is not limited to little-kid character meals.

We ate there in June 2010 and enjoyed it very much. It is probably our single must-do restaurant. It's a nice cross between buffet and individual menu; you don't have to like everything to still have lots and lots to enjoy.

WHY are those noodles so good? They're just plain noodles, with very little discernable sauce - and we polished off the bowl and got refillls. Twice.

A prior poster was correct to recommend that you start with tiny bits of everything to taste, then keep getting more of what you yourself like best. And unlike a regular restaurant, if what you like best turns out to be the chicken wing appetizers, they will cheerfully bring you more of those all throughout the meal. Much better IMHO than places where if you start with something good you feel like you have to "fill up" on it because the server is going to remove it before they bring you the next item.

Bottom line: go yourself. Form your own opinion. Enjoy!

Ohana was in our top 3 of 8. My boyfriend and I loved it there! The food was delicious! Especially the salad, noodles and pot stickers. Vegetables and bread were also delicious. Our server was very nice and kept the food coming! If I had to make one complaint about the service it would be that we didn't have alot of one on one interaction.. but she kept an eye on our table enough that our plates were constantly refreshed/empty plates were taken away!

The meats were good as well although we didn't eat alot because the sides were so delicious. They were very good but I guess nothing out of this world.

The dessert was wonderful... I cannot rave about it enough.

Finally I've heard people complain about the noise. We really didn't notice anything like this!

I've eaten at 'Ohana at least once every year for my entire life. (I'm 26) It is still, all these years later, the only restaurant that my entire family insists on going to. It is my only "must do." It's just not a trip to WDW without 'Ohana, so you definitely won't hear any bad reviews from me...although I would kill for them to bring back the shrimp won tons

Hi everyone. I just got through reading all the bad reviews for Ohana on another thread. I know that even 2 people from the same group can have differing opinons on the same thing. So now I am asking for reviews from people who have had a good experience at Ohana recently. We are going in May and are trying to make up our minds about where we are going to eat. No complaints on here please. I have read them already.

We went this past August for the 1st time and LOVED it! My kids were 6 & 9 and they can't wait to go back. I thought the food and service were excellent they even seated us 10 min early(we had ressies for 9:30p however) we could see the fireworks from our table just slightly blocked by some trees(there weren't many kids that time of night so mine and about 3 more went over to the windows to watch and the waitstaff told them to go sit down which I thought was mean as they weren't in anyones way but that was the only negative.)We also had arrived early so we sat on the beach and saw the barge light show and then went to the photo desk to see our pass port pics from the day and get prints while we waited for our reservation time. They had hula dance lessons and the kids all got leis,over all well worth it and it will be on our ADRS next year
