Capriccio di Mare is about an 8-10 minute walk from the Tortola pier. Reasonably priced Italian fare. Can't recommend anything that is more 'authentic' island food; my son and I didn't end up walking that far from the port.

Head to Pusser's Pub in Road Town, Tortola. Not far from the waterfront. Pusser's is the home of the 'Painkiller' plus good authentic jerk as well as other stuff like burgers; Shop with great merch. Don't miss.

There's a really good BBQ place in St. Thomas called the Smoking Rooster (or something close to that).
