I remember having it once at Chef Mickey's, but I don't know if it's there now. It's on the menu at 50s PT, but I've never eaten there, and no one who has has mentioned that their pot pie's good. So where can I go to get a good pot pie?

This probably isn't the answer you are looking for, but I might as well mention it.

SR 535, just off exit 68 and barely outside Disney property, is a Perkins restaurant. They are open 24 hours; we stopped there when we got in town at 1:30am. They have a really really good chicken pot pie that comes out piping hot.

It's not Disney, but it is close.

I didn't really like the pot pie at 50s, although others have posted that it was good. Just not my thing - should have stuck with the pot roast or tried the fried chicken.

I really like the pot pie at 50's. Its one of the reasons we generally go there at lunch, since its not on the dinner menu. To me its delicious but we all have different tastes!

They had it at Chef Mickey's in June when we ate there last. But I liked the one at 50's better.

In fairness, I should add that it was about 105 degrees "real feel" temperature that day, so how much is anyone going to enjoy pot pie? Or pot roast? Or anything that doesn't come in a tall glass with a lot of ice? :goodvibes

My DH and DD love the pot pie at 50's Prime Time. It is a must do every time we visit. It is only offered at lunch now. It is absolutely HUGE, and my DD eats the entire thing (she normally eats like a bird). We laugh because she says she needs to wear pants with an elastic waist band to eat there.

The Wave at the Contemporary has chicken pot pie on their menu and the restaurant gets glowing reviews.

I love the pot pie at '50s PTC! Unfortunately, I missed it last time since they only serve it at lunch and we went for dinner. And as for me, it can never be too hot for pot pie. I like it no matter what time of year it is. :yay:

I was just going to mention this. We got back from our vacation on Sunday and this was our second time at the Wave. The first time I hated my food so I wasn't looking forward to trying it again, but our second try at the Wave I ordered the pot pie and it was delicious... I wouldn't hesitate going there again just for the pot pie :)

I know its not the same, but you might like the Shepards/Cottage pie at Rose&Crown in Epcot. I've seen it under both names.

Vegetarian Shepherd's Pie - creamy mushroom-vegetable ragout topped with mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese served with mixed greens and roasted portobello mushroom $11.99

Shepherd's Pie - ground lamb with carrots topped with mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese $12.99

Rats-the Wave only has it on the dinner menu, and I usually go for TS at lunchtime. It looks like I may be headed to 50s PT for lunch on my next trip-someplace new.

I am a pot pie connoisseur to say the least :-) I had the 50s PT cafe PP on our last visit and it passed my test.

Coming from PA Dutch country I've had plenty of pot pie in my lifetime! I was a little disappointed w/ 50's pot pie. I'm used to all the veggies being totally enclosed in a pie not a puff pastry on top. Regardless, the veggies, chicken and sauce were good I just wasn't impressed with the pastry part of it.

Big chicken pot pie fans here and T-Rex (DDT) has a really good one! Careful, the thing is gigantic. It does not have a bottom crust, it has a rich creamy sauce w/ huge chunks of white rotiserrie chicken, peas and carrots. All topped by a dome of puff pastry! it could easily feed two people! DS(12) and I both loved it.
