Looking for Florida panhandle vacation rental company

I'm looking for vacation rentals in the Florida panhandle area (S. Walton to Panama City Beach) and I already know about ResortQuest, Sterling, and of course VBRO. Are there any other rental companies or resort companies that anyone would recommend?

We have always had great luck with Homeaway.com. It is like VRBO where you rent from the owner directly.

Perhaps some realtors in that area specifically handle rentals?

If you want a local business that handles vacation rentals in the Panama City Beach area, Prudential Shimmering Sands is a wonderful realty company to do business with.

I have found quality listings for both The Outer Banks NC and Brevard NC via VRBO. Many times the actual listing will have another website for the actual rental property so I usually rent via the other site but always let the person know that I found them on VRBO.

Thanks for the info, guys. I'm more interested in a larger property management company, because we'll probably want multiple units close together, and it seems difficult to get that with a smaller company or VBRO.

Im from that area, are you stuck on just being in the ft. walton- panama city beach area? I can offer you some suggestions if your options are open to more NW Fl locations. Let me know. Also, when are you planning on going, and who is the travel party kids /adults ?

We definitely need that area. In fact, even Ft Walton is a stretch - though that's my favorite area, the other people we're traveling with are really partial to PCB (le sigh). We'd be going in June or July, and there would be either 4 of us (3 adults, one tween), 12 of us (7 adults, 5 tweens/teens), or somewhere in between.

Gotcha. I was going to suggest Meyer real estate but I think they only go from Gulf Shores/Orange beach to as far as Pensacola Beach, which is where I'm from. If you haven't ever been to Panama City beach, I will tell you that to me it is less nice than FWB or Destin/ sandestin. If I had to choose, I would pick Destin or Sandestin. PanamaCB to me is a little rougher and caters more towards the partier/college student/ spring breaker crowd. Destin and Sandestin has more of a secluded, slower resort feel to it.
