title says it all - I'm looking for folks who have experienced the fairly new Brazilian BBQ at the Latin Quarter. When it first opened, I read some pretty good reports, but more recent reviews on some of the "foodie" web sites have been less complimentary.

I love churrascaria dining, although I have to be careful for health reasons. I could go back to Texas de Brazil, which I know I like, but they're a lot more expensive. If the Latin Quarter experience is good, I'd like to give it a try.

Or I could just add a night at Raglan Road and then hit our "pretty good" local churrascaria when I get home.

Thanks.

Haven't been but would really love to hear about the restaurant too. What sort of price is it. We will be travelling May-June 2012 as a family of 11 but it might be too pricey for that large of a group. It's not the sort of restuarant we have anywhere near where we live in Ontario - or at least I don't think we do!

Last I looked, the price was about $36, but I'm assuming this doesn't include tax, tip, or any drinks. (Maybe includes non-alcoholic, but I'm guessing not.)

Texas de Brazil is closer to $55.

If you look for Brazilian BBQ in your area, you might be surprised what you find, particularly if you're near one of the larger cities.

Thanks for the info. The price is much better than Texas, which I knew was around $55. Most of our party is all adults but I don't think many of them would have experienced this type of restaurant. I am assuming its cheaper due to the higher volume of people going there.

i ate there in october.
thought the price was $36.99 and did not include the sodas.

i wrote about my experience there in another thread.
i'll try to dig it up.

I didn't care for the place.
wait staff did not tend to the tables very well but stood over by the kitchen door and visited with each other.

i went on a week night for a 7:00 adr.

the meat that was brought out was well done.
a few pieces were medium.
i eat my meat medium rare.
i was told they would have to let the chef know the next time he prepared the different meats.
they also include pork and lamb.
(the pork was very dry.)

my friend dining with me was served immediately.
i had to wait up to 15 minutes sometimes for meat.

there was only 3 other tables occupied when i was there.
the waiter would go to each table and offer the meat.
then go one to another table.

our table was the first one they went to, then on to the others.

i need to add that the salad bar was pretty good.
you have the option of only ordering the salad bar and not the meat offerings.
big difference in price by doing the salad bar only.

anywho, i'll try to find my review and post it here.

they do honor the ap for the 10% discount.

Found your review from 10/24.

Like I said, the more recent the reviews, the less sterling they seem to be.

But dang it, I want to eat at a good churrascaria. Are there any others in the Orlando area besides TxdB?

My wife and I dined there in August, with her brother, his daughter, her sister and husband. All of us ate more than we could muster, and then some. The service was above par, and the waitress seemed to be more than a little interested in my brother-in-law.. :D

The food quality is superb, especially the steak. There is a little bit for everyone's pallete, and you will definately not leave hungry.

It is reasonably priced, and a great deal for anyone with an annual pass to the park.

Hope this helps...

p.s. My wife and I enjoyed the churascaria so much that we are going to try the "original" Latin Quarter downstairs next week.:dance3:

Thanks for the input. Given how good-looking I am, maybe I should be prepared for a little extra attention if I eat there.
