My mom has knee issues and we always rent an ECV for her. Our old rental company does not fall into the new Preferrred category and I don't want to deal with the timing of drop off and pick up. So, who is a good preferred EVC company? I often load her EVC is the car for transport and it can only lift so much (I'm a tiny person).

I would go with Apple and ask for their GO-Go Elite Traveler Plus scooter. It comes apart easily and the heaviest piece weighs under 40lbs. This is my personal scooter and it fits easily into the trunk of our Ford Fusion and either Mom (age 69) or myself (bad legs and feet) can handle each piece with relative ease.

I agree! We've used Apple several times and would highly recommend them. They've always given her the Go Go Elite and it's so easy to take apart and lift into the trunk of the rental car. I have some back problems but the pieces are light enough that I can handle them fairly easily.
