HI ,
We are planning a trip of spring of next year. We went to disney for the first time for a 10 day trip in april 2006. We got the dining plan and loved it. I am looking to venture into some other experiences like we were thinking of cinderellas round table or spirit of aloha show or mickeys bbq. Here are the places we ate last time that and what we thought of them , maybe you can get a feel for what we like.

We had Ohans ....loved it , was the favorite of the whole trip
Le Cellier(sp?) liked this one alot too.
Chef MIckeys twice ........kids loved dancing with characters
1900 park fare was good but mainly went for cinderella
Crystal palace ..........food was good really liked character interaction
Garden Grill.................didnt' like the food at all on this one
whispering canyon ............kids loved it and the food was very good
Liberty Tree Taver...........food was okay , mainly went for characters

we were really charactered out by the end of the trip. We are looking into maybe cape mays , bomas? we are a little scared to eat at bomas because we didn't know if there was anything there the kids would like but we are up for any suggestions. WE will definitely be doing Ohanas at least once this trip.

Counter service meals were
Cosmic Rays twice.......pretty good
Pizza planet .........kids loved it , food was decent
Earl of sandwich twice............best sandwiches ever
Flame tree bbq ...........very tasty
Back lot express...........hated it
Seasons ...........we really liked the variety and food was very good.

I can't reallly remember any more but am open to all new counter service meals , I am jsut looking for some different things to eat. What are your favorites? I am not big on seafood..............:surfweb: oh and anyone who did the fantasmic dinner package please let me know where you went what you ate and if it was a good show. We had tons of pushing and shoving and waiting in lines for hours for that show and thought the dinner show might be a better way to go.

i am wondering about the fantasmic dining package as well--we have a ADR at Mama Melrose but are not sure how good the seating is etc.. We went in Sept 2006 and had the free meal plan as well then, for the table service meals we did: LTT, Capn Jacks which had other things besides seafood it was pretty good, we went to Lunch at Chef De France-- it was good but was different-- i am used to more typical food such as chicken, burgers etc-- we also did the San Angel in epcot-- we loved the look of this restaurant but the food was just ok-- and we also went to Alfredos which is good but closing-- we are going this sept and trying all different places for variety-- Pecos Bill is a good place for a counter service meal in MK let me know if you have any other questions:)

Rose and Crown, Bomas great, Hoop de doo review, Le cellier, brown derby with prority seating for fantasmic the best!!! Enjoy

Boma is fabulous - even the pickiest of eaters we have taken there loved it, they always have the kids section of the buffet chicken fingers and mac n cheese. The ribs there are awesome and the zebra domes are a must.

We really like Teppanyaki and Coral Reef too

As far as CS - all the countries in WS have CS options to get a little adventerous with.
