Looking for Desserts you design yourself

The Garden Grill in Epcot gives kids plain cupcakes to decorate with some frosting and different toppings...m & m's, gummy worms, Mickey sprinkles, etc.

Concourse Steakhouse has a cookie that you decorate yourself. It's called painter's pallet. It is a sugar cookie shaped like a Mickey and the kids get 3 different color icing glazes and a paint brush and some sprinkles. My kids loved it. :cool1:

Does Chef Mickeys still have do your own soft serve sundaes and cupcakes as well? :bitelip:

The sundae station is there, but I don't recall seeing cupcakes - but I may have missed them.

I know you all might think I am silly BUT do they let "big kids" aka adults do this sort of thing too or just little kids????

On our most recent trip (Feb 2006), Yacht Club Galley had a dessert that was several white chocolate pieces shaped like puzzle pieces that you can put together and then paint with icing. It is also served with a cupcake. My kids enjoyed putting the puzzle together (when put together, a Disney character appears; in our case, it was Tinkerbell) and painting it, but they did not eat much of the dessert, instead preferring the cupcake that was served with the dessert.

I also believe I have had a similar dessert elsewhere on property in the past, but not sure exactly where (I think it was either Artist Point or Citrico's).

The Prime Time Cafe at MGM also has a kid's build your own sundae.

We had cupcakes at CM in 2003 but not when we went in 2005. :furious:

I don't see why they wouldn't let you order a kid's dessert. It's not one of the design your own, but I've read posts where adults ordered the Kiddie Kone at Kona Cafe. :)

In Akershus in Norway, there used to be (2004) a "paint your own troll" dessert.

Great fun. A table of 5 "big kids" had a great time doing that. :teeth:

I'm not sure if it's still available???

Ona ;)
