Looking For Control Freaks & Worry Warts too........ Part 2

Debbie - just tell me that staying at the GF with the MK view is as lovely as in my mind it is!

Here’s the thing. We really aren’t taking advantage of the FREE DINING the way we should be. The people REALLY getting a deal are the ones who booked a value resort and got free dining. That has to be the best! We are just getting free food but still paying too much for our room. Looks like even though we booked 7 nights we probably will only do 4 since it is still expensive. My Mom is already trying to do some ADRs. We already got a preseating ADR for Fantasmic but things are already filling fast! Now I am hoping for a Chef Mickey….We will see.
Anyone ever tried Mickey’s Backyard Barbeque?

re Mickey's BBQ - I know my best friend took her DS last year I think it was. LOVED IT. She suggested it, but our limited time kept me from it. She said it was by far the most fun they had during the trip - per DS.

Isn't it a little harder to get to though? Is it by Hoop De Doo?

I think I honestly am just in love with the idea of the monorail. I want to stay at the Poly. But you know, I really want to go WITHOUT the kids. Just me and DH. We could do cirque, a couple of nice dinners, walk around Epcot, drink ourselves silly, ride the monorail back, watch the fireworks from the beach. SIGH. Guess a gal can dream.

I have NO idea. She rents a house down there and drives onto Disney. I'm sure she would have mentioned it if it was a pain, but she is the opposite of us - real happy go lucky, so I don't know. :confused3 She was just pleased that DS had such a fun time and they had lots of booze to keep her DH from happy as well. She said the dance floor was the best. Even DH got in the action. Now, I say all this, and I don't think she has ate at CM before so... :confused3

If Debbie starts posting pics again, I'm gonna start drinking! :rotfl2: Actually, I was just jealous that she could do it so fast!

Circuit City did not have the right adapter for our Tivo, so DH told me to just order it from Tivo, it was actually about $10 cheaper that way anyway. See? Even he is encouraging me to listen to Live365 through the surround sound speakers! :cool1:

Had a bad day so I went to Home Depot after work to get some deer resistant flowers - I had my front yard really nice and colorful until these @#&% deer ate all the heads off!!! So I went out and bought some that state "deer resistant." Yeah, we'll see. So then we come home and Bucky (the "good" dog) has chewed up the blinds on the door of the bathroom, AND chewed up the rug in the bathroom!!!! I called DH and told him that Bucky just might be making the trip with Bella later this week! OK, not really, but he is so trying my nerves lately!!! He was such a good puppy and now he's turned into devil dog!!!

Gotta run - DH just walked in the door!

Kara - you know they say animals have a sixth sense about things. Maybe he can tell that there are "plans" for later on in the week? :confused3 Not excusing it, but could be that. That or he's just trying to help you out like Debbie suggested. You know, so you aren't talking about the DVC and all the boozing it up all the time at the pool - with your warm weather. :lmao: When's your MIL coming back to check out your soap situation... popcorn::

Laura- so what did you decide to do about the stroller?
I was going to rent but with price increase I am thinking of buying one. I'm not sure at this point which one. We went to Target. Had her sit in the cheap umbrella stroller. Don't think it will work. THe fabric was really stretching. I am going to check out the mac volvo. I know it's expensive but I did want a different one for my younger daughter. DH hate the huge graco.

Here Tammie but I warned you!!!!!!!

Inside for lunch......

Thanks - I ALMOST cried! Ladies - that song is so true - life is so short - enjoy every moment with your kids - they grow up way too fast.

Love it!

Good morning girls - just a quick stop. I've got the Monday morning blues so therefore I'm very cranky! Too much to get into right now. (I've already taken one of my "make me don't care so much" pills!)

Anyway, no snow here but still very cold. So sick of wearing sweaters, socks, and boots. I want my warm weather clothes! Oh well, at least the sun's out today.

Renee - I feel so bad for you too! I would chain myself to the doctor's chair until he gives you something to help clear up whatever you're dealing with. Explain that you need to be healthy before this trip - you're going solo with your young child - you need to be up and running! Good luck!

Kara - Keeping my fingers crossed for the DVC. But why the switch to BCV? I was looking forward to having you join my BW snob club!:snooty:

Well, I'm off to run errands; then have to drive into Boston to pick up daughter from school today - her nurse is on vacation and no one else could ride the van with her. Mom's taxi service to the rescue!

We are planning on BW next time - DH wants to be near ESPN and walk to Epcot! Guess we'll be slummin' :rotfl2:
Can you say FREE DINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Found out we can still go to MNSSHP in September and get GF MK VIEW PLUS FREE DINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's booked for September 18th to the 25th but we might cut that down and do part Naples, FL again. DH of course burst my bubble when his reply to my excitement was "aren't we ever going to go anywhere else?"
I just try and ignore him!:snooty:
Talk about flying by the seat of your pants...this decision was all made within minutes after I opened my email from Disney Rewards! Yeah me!!!

:woohoo: :woohoo: How great for you! I wish we didn't have to use our points before Aug - I would much rather go in September!

Quick update and then I'd better pack and spend some time with DH.
Renee sorry for the trouble with your ears :sad2: Hope you get some relief before your flight.

Kara, I am so sorry about your dog. She really must be feeling bad, though. It is time, I'm sure. I'll be thinking about you. Sorry for your work troubles, too. You'll be really glad when this weekend is over.

Laura, how are you doing in the arctic? We have it here, too.

Well, DDIL did bring the baby over yesterday, but not until DS was almost off work and ready to head for home. She used the excuse that he slept from 10am to 2:30pm when she finally had to wake him up... I'm going to chose to believe her since she apologized :rolleyes1 At least I got to see him for a little while.

Well, gotta go - I'm not taking my laptop - don't have DH to carry it! :goodvibes Don't have too much fun without me! I'll say hi to Tim for ya!

How's this one? Get it? This would be my view from my GF MK view!

Another pro to our new plan is that DS will still be 2! That saves me some more mula, right? He turns 3 in October.

I hope I am not ignoring any ones posts. I am just in my WDW euphoria right now. Even if it's only 4 nights there I will be happy!

Come to Mama....................

No I haven't broken out the XRated Fusion....I'm high on Disney!

Debbie, I must say, I thought of a rather nasty 5 letter word when I saw that last picture.... :rotfl2:

But I am happy for you! Looks wonderful! You just get that "Aahh!" feeling from looking at it!

debbie I'm starting to worry.....:)

I still vote take your own. I can't imagine that the hard ones will hold your DD17mo well. I'm probably spelling it wrong - but the Maclauren - does it come in a double? That would be the way to go. Especially if they have a sit & stand version. I do think you will need one for your older DD too.

Here I go Debbie (told you I was just as bad) since you and DH will be there (right?) why not get TWO Maclaurens. One can push one, one can push the other. They will fold like a dream for the buses (or are you using buses). You can link them together with those things from one step ahead, but better DH could take the older DD to do something while you did something with DD17 mo??? I would say you could probably sell that and get at least half your money back when you are done. Another option would be to get the Maclauren and that little seat you can attach to make it like a sit and stand - maybe I saw it at One Step Ahead? :confused3 Know what I'm talking about????

Anyway, I'm beat. The kids were too much today on top of 2 hours sleep last night. Have a good one ladies.
