:rotfl2::rotfl2: can't believe how alike we all are on this thread! Hope you are starting to feel better - thoughts of disney will help!

p.s. the gravy on the Yorkshire's is roast meat juice gravy - not the disgusting stuff you lot have with "biscuits" for breakfast over there - bleurrggh!!:scared:

Anyhow - you cheered me up! Got hold of DH - he is now the one feeling frustrated - amazing how passing news around gets rid of the angst... and reminded him of parents evening -he had forgotten:rolleyes:, so am now back on track....

Hopefully will be told how wonderfully the girls are progressing etc.... haven't been given any indication to the contrary, so we will see..

Tessa

Jillian - I thought that was you on the Disign thread! After all, how many Badookies are there??? :rotfl: The one good thing about overpacking for a little one is that a) the clothes really don't take up that much space and b) if you UNDERpack, you're in trouble so better safe than sorry!

Woo hoo  to all of you getting ready to go!!!!

Hi Girls…

Today is better;) ….It’s just I am so sick of cleaning!!! I forbid myself to do anything yesterday but clean (hence not seeing me here) and as I was cleaning one part of the kitchen I then turned around to see play dough was being destroyed behind me and if that wasn’t bad enough I then walked into the living room (which I didn’t even think they were in) to find Easter grass sprinkled everywhere:scared1: ! I thought I was going to loose my mind. After cleaning from the minute I got up until present, DH is about to come home and it looks like I haven’t done anything!!!!
Whatever…it’s the same old crap! I just want to get ahead of the game and never feel like I can!!!
:thumbsup2 One goal was reached though…we ate dinner together at the now clean table.

DH annoyed me because he is just oblivious:confused3 ! He just doesn’t have a clue what it's like to be me: He thinks I have it made which in the grand scheme of things I do but a little appreciation for what my days are like would be nice. He is a very quite man which is usually good because he doesn't say the wrong thing to me but sometimes it keeps him from saying the right stuff too.

My Mom still is doing a little better but won’t admit what’s wrong. She tries to act like everything is fine but she is so crabby! I just stay away but then feel like I still need to ask her what’s going on! She isn’t a martyr by any means but she just isn’t open like I am. She keeps things to herself too much. I hope she can feel better soon. At this point I hope it’s just a female problem and the antibiotics will work. She seems to be doing better with the puppy situation.

Good news is I am planning a Florida trip to Naples when DD is done with school:cool1: . I will fill you in more on that later.

Off to the YMCA to swim. I feel like it’s good for the kids so I am trying to shoot for twice a week at the YMCA. One of these days I will add a work out in there for myself. The Today show just said this morning that if you work out for 3 hours a week you will add 9 years to your life so that’s my goal!

Sorry I haven’t responded to each of you but I had to vent…aaahhhh I do feel better!

I do love you guys:grouphug: ! I feel like you are my therapy. I feel like we are kindred spirits who somehow found our way to each other to help each other out with life. It may sound corny but its a unique bond we have don’t ya think??? Crazy I am sure, but having this unbiased group of friends who just listens and doesn’t judge (plus can relate) is just really wonderful to me!!!

Thanks for sticking around whether it is often or random!

Hi Debbie :grouphug: from me too
Sorry you're having such a yucky time right now ...I am with you on the cleaning i have just started doing mine now and it never seems to look any different .. you clear the kitchen then cook and it's a mess again .. i am not a tidy person aaaahhhh

Well done you for taking the kids swimming
Thinking of you and here to listen to you vent anytime :flower3:

We're right there with you Debbie - but you're better than I am because at least you ARE cleaning, I'm just sitting here complaining about not getting it done!! Like that's gonna help! :lmao:

Tonight is DD's and I weekly night together. We will probably go out for dinner and then shopping! I need to get to the mall to Yankee Candle to stock up on their wall plug in scents. I have them all over the place and they just make me feel good! :cloud9: Especially with doggie problems, I really need them.

How was the workout Cammie? If it wasn't so chilly, I might go on a nice bike ride but for some reason I cannot get warm (hope I'm not getting  !). It's nice here now, and the heat is on inside, but like I said, Florida cool is downright frigid because of the humidity!

I've been researching the DVC resales. Cammie, what about Vero Beach? They seem a lot cheaper to buy, and you can still use your points at WDW resorts, right? Isn't the only difference is how far in advance you can book?

Well, think I'll log off for awhile and try cleaning the bathrooms. Debbie has me motivated now!

I'm back for a quick reply...
I love the new Tangerine Vanilla at Yankee! I bought a diffuser and love it!!!!

Here's a really awesome trick I do....
Pick one fragrance that will be your vacation fragrance....I picked GLADE vanilla's & cream...then whenever I go to WDW I plug it in at the resort for the whole trip. When I get home I will randomly pull them out when I need a pick me up. The smell totally reminds you of my trip!!! My last Glade light show I brought was so strong that as I walked down the GF hallway I could smell it. It absolutely brings back the memories of the trip now. You can't abuse the fragrance when you are home though or it won't remind you of your trip. My problem is that THANK GOD I bought about 10 packages of the scent because it seems to be discontinued now! I have also heard of people doing this with lotions too, which I do do too. Ha Ha I just said doodoo:rotfl2: !

I too have thought the same thing. We are kindred spirits. Was it Tessa that said we are all experiencing the same things right now? (cars, sickness, crazy DHs....) I tired to explain to DH why I am checking the board so often. He just rolls his eyes but I think Debbie's explaination does it.

I kept reading the pudding receipe and all I could think about was pop-overs. Thanks for the the picture Erin it really make more sense to me now. Still doesn't resolve the mouthwatering I have everytime I read about them. Really have to plan a roast and just make it. In college I would bake popover weekly. My roomies finally bought me a specialized pan to make them. When ever we get together that is on of my dishes to bring. Yummy...

Jillian- Completely understand where you are coming from. I can't imagine what I will pack for DH and DD when we leave in May. I always over pack. I look like a pack mule when we go to Mall of America. 2 outfits a day for little one makes complete sense. You don't want to have to wash anything out it is a vacation after all and laundry is a naughty word on vacation. :laundy: If you brought less you know you'll be missing something. At least that's my mantra.

Tessa- I understand the car troubles. Back when I made my 1st venture to DL Cali I my car got smashed up. DBIL (at that time he was future) backed a trailer into my car. Took out the door. Dropped it at garage and left for Disney. You'll be enjoying the fun and the car will be the last thing to worry about.

Erin- a brownie is the perfect pick me up when your feeling ill. Just think you'll get this illness out of the way and be healthy and happy for your trip. :)

Debbie- glad to see you back and hope that today is better. I love the idea of the plug-ins. I know I will need something to keep me going when we get back. We're hoping to go back before youngest turns 3. Gotta start saving right when we get home. :scared: Planning vacations is a way of life I am beginning to think.

Kara - I've started to pull out my summer clothes to see what will fit and what won't so I know the feeling about the shirts. I keep telling myself I will be better at the candy and such but it never works. The face blemishes are VERY frustrating. I thought I was done after JR high. Guess not.

I just thought I'd take a "quick look" at the boards. It's now a half hour later. Dryer just buzzed.

A really dumb question---- where are is the design board that was mentioned before. I went looking for it but I think my brain fell out..... Very limited attention span today.

Unfortunately i have no brownies although i have just eaten an easter egg oops .. And no my summer stuff doesn't fit either i had to buy new stuff  oh well will have to lose it when i get back instead  although not sure the easter eggs are helping at all

Ok so now you have to tell me what popovers are?????

I have half an hour to myself until my DD is back from brownies and i have to put her to bed so i am on here for all of that time

Yeah, not gone long - but I did get the downstairs toilets cleaned! :cool1: I was just researching this skybus airlines. They actually offer 10 seats on each flight for $10! DSIL wants us to look into and fly up to see them in Raleigh (actually, the airline flies into Greensboro, about an hour away). I said, yeah, right! YOU be the guinea pig! But then I see where you get carry ons for free, then your first checked bag is $10, then $50 for each additional bag under 50 lbs. Also, it's an additional $12.50 for priority boarding (meaning you get on first to pick your seat - a must if flying with others so you can sit together!). So I guess for a short trip it might be okay, even without the $10 tickets, it was only $90 (including tax) for each ticket and they only fly non-stop. But don't think I want to try them out!!!!!! They save money by doing everything automated. Seriously, they don't have a ticket counter at the airport, and no phone number - you must book online and print your own boarding pass. That's a little spooky, or is it just me?

I like your idea, Debbie! I'm going to go to Bath and Body Works and pick my scents - lotion, antibacterial soap, bubble bath, etc, and THAT will be my Disney scent for this year! Besides, it's a good excuse to get new girly stuff for bath!!!!! And they have the wall flowers plug ins too! Woo hoo! Now I'm excited about shopping tonight - I wasn't too keen on putting on makeup before, but now I have a mission!

The inlaws are here this weekend, and I'm really not looking forward to is. Why? I have to clean. And, they are just going to annoy me with talk of DSIL's new house and everything new for the house - that just ticks me off to no end because it took them nearly 5 months to pay us for the Hoop Dee Doo tickets because they "didn't have any money." WE are the ones who still have a house to sell and all our money is tied up in that stupid house!!! I get so sick of her whining and when DH called her to say we were booking Garden Grill for a family character lunch, she asked "this won't cost us anything, right?" These are her PARENTS that are taking us on this trip!!!!! She is the most ungrateful, spoiled brat I have ever met!!!!!

She gets me riled up every time - I just shouldn't even mention her! DH and I are just so glad that the DDP credits are separated by room so when we go out to dinner, we can put ours (every night) and inlaws (every other night) on separate checks. Then hopefully they will gt the hint and spring for inlaws tip and drinks on the nights that we don't. If not, I swear, I won't be able to keep my mouth shut. I'll definitely be the outlaw!!!!

OK, I feel better now...... :rolleyes1

Go to the main thread page, scroll down and it's under Just for Fun - called "Creative DISigns." Be careful though, it's addicting!!!!

Erin- I restate the fact my brain fell out. I went back and re-read your post - your dd is at brownies not that that you ate one...:rotfl:

Pop-overs are very similar to Yorkshire pudding its just that they aren't meat flavored. The recipe deviates at the hot fat in the tin. You just grease the tins and with oil or butter and place the batter in them . I have mine with butter just out of the oven. I've burned my mouth at times. I think it is a sin. I LOVE them. Here is a picture http://whatscookingamerica.net/Bread/SplitPopover.JPG

I'll admit my conversion is a little rusty....
4 eggs
2 cups milk (473 ml)
2 cups all-purpose flour (8 oz or 227 g)
1 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

Grease 12 large muffin tin cups or 12 custard cups. Break the eggs into a bowl and beat well. Add the milk, flour, and salt, and beat until just blended. Fill the muffin tin cups or custard cups 3/4 full with the batter. Place the pan on the center rack in the oven. Bake for 30 minutes without opening the oven door.

Well have to leave the board for awhile have DD swim lessons at the YMCA.

And my Big news.... I am cutting 14 inches off of my hair. :scared1: I have been growing it since DD 16 mos was born and it is really too long. I am donating it to a charity call Locks of Love. They make wigs for little kids that have cancer or alopecia (where their hair falls out and doesn't grow back). I think I am going to be bald. Of course not but it will be a big change. My avatar will not be accurate but it will remind me of how long it was. Wish me luck!

That made me laugh lots :rotfl2: yes DD has returned from brownies, unfortunately i now have a craving for brownies :rotfl2:

Wow about your hair .. i did something very similar when my DD was about same age enough was wnough and haven't gone back since hahahaa
Good luck

Goodness. I think I bookmarked at page 201, and now look at the thread. I will try to catch up and read later, but I think I just may be honest with myself and say it probably won't happen!

Things have been busy here. Lots to do, no time to get it done. Ran to the mall and bought DD a dress for her 1 yr picture. Down to nursing twice a day now. :goodvibes Starting to stress about packing for WDW. Thinking I should do a dry run, as I'm WANTING to only carry on a backpack and ME everything else. I'm not so sure everything will fit. Hummm.

So, let me be a sponge on you guys again and ask some stupid questions...

1. I've read if using ME, pack a carryon to get you through the night. Our flight lands slightly before noon. Would you still do this? Or would you just take one spare set of clothes?

2. How does hailing a taxi at the parks work? Do you have to take the phone number with you and call them from a cell, or are there taxis camping out waiting for people to use them?

3.. Honestly please. DS has now gotten back into "SPEED" :scared1: and the only place that Lightening is as is DHS. That wasn't really that big on my plan, and I think thanks to Kara we decided on going to MK that first day in and catching the 3 pm parade, and then dinner at CP. SO... do I try to check in at ASmo, run over to DHS to catch the block party and Lightening and then on to CP for dinner? Doesn't he know he isn't allowed to mess with me now that my plans are finalized? :lmao:

I know it has been a while, so here is what I have on our agenda...
1. Airport super early. Arrive at MCO before noon. Catch ME (DH says I should consider taxi) to ASmo, have lunch, if room available try to nap and do dinner at CP, if no room, got to MK for Char greeting, maybe one ride and dinner at CP. Return to resort after dinner.

2. RD at AK, BF at Tusker House 9:30. Play by ear as to if we stay at the park or hop to DHS. Hopefully lunch at Flame Tree. Nap. Dinner at CM at 8 pm (I know the time stinks, but it was all they had).

3. BF at CP before park opening. MK. Nap mid day. Dinner at WCC. Hopefully Spectro - maybe wishes. Wishes will be at 10. They are doing two Spectros that night. Will we be able to leave the park? LOL! I'm assuming that hailing a taxi here would be the best rather than the bus.

4. MK at RD, late BF @ CM if DS wants to. Return flight at 6 pm - so we will need to be back at the resort at 2 to use ME I guess.

So... that leaves out some things I wanted to squeeze in. Since DS loves animals, I thought it would be cool to see AKL. DTD. Origianlly DHS was here too, but if now we MUST see Lightening, I guess that moves over....

So how does it look? Words of wisdom? I don't know if there is anyone else like me that has never been, but there is a EMV video of MK that I watched that is really cool. It is under the top on the planning board. Nice sneak peak - and I knew that MK was big, but I had no idea it was THAT big!

We're in the single digit countdown now. DS is getting really excited. My sinus infection is better. Not gone, but better. I'm trying to plan DS family party for when we return. He has been asking for Tigger & Pooh. Today he busts out he wants a SPEED party. Yikes...

Hope that everyone is doing well!
Renee

Renee - Deeeeep breath! :rotfl: It will be great! I have never used ME so I'm not one to advise there. But the rest of your plans look great. If you're already planning time at DHS, why change and go there the day you arrive? Also I'm a big fans of the Disney buses so I'd say you won't need to call a taxi, IMHO.

I'm so excited for you!!!! Not long now! :cool1:

Will DD be weaned by the time you leave? If not, do you have breast milk frozen for her? And don't forget about yourself!!!! If she's not completely weaned, will you have a pump with you? I can't really remember that far back, I know if was very gradual for me, but won't you need to pump if she's just barely weaned?

And my Big news.... I am cutting 14 inches off of my hair. :scared1: I have been growing it since DD 16 mos was born and it is really too long. I am donating it to a charity call Locks of Love.

Good for you! I have a friend that did this, too. And just think how much money you'll save on shampoo! :lmao:

Man, I leave for a few hours .......

Have only read the last post; will read the rest later, but will try to answer some of your questions, Renee.

1. I've only use ME twice - first time, I got my own luggage so it was on the same bus as me; second time - we let ME retrieve it; checked in at the hotel at 3pm; luggage wasn't delivered until 10pm - and one bag was missing!:scared1: That one arrived at 3am; they kept it at front desk and delivered it in the am. I know that's probably not the norm; ME usually works like a charm, but I would still be prepared! It took one mishap for me now to pack more essentials for that "just in case".

2. I've honestly never seen taxis in front of the parks; resorts - yes; I'm sure at MK, you'd have to go to the TCC; I'm assuming they would be in the front of the other parks. I'm sure if you went to guest services, they could give you the info you need

3. Re: the block party. Is that regular now? I thought it was still in preview, which means it may not be appearing every day. I would check with concierge first before running over there. It does sound like alot of running around for your first few hours. You don't want to start your first day off stressed. You're seeing the "Cars" characters later in the trip, right? Your DS is going to be so excited about just being at Disney - just sit back and let him soak it in for awhile - Lightening will still be there!

Hope for my little opinion helps. Be back later!

Ummm... hummm.... dunno. I developed a MRSA staff infection after having a slavary gland removed (because DS scratched the inside of my mouth and got it inflamed) when DS was 15 months old. It didn't respond to normal antibiotics, so I got hospitalized on morphine and 2 IV antibiotics. It was cold turkey for both of us, but since I was so medicated, I had no issues.

I plan on going down to once a day in a few days, and then cut out the night feeding about 5 days later. I am hoping there will be no need to pump at Disney. I should have her weaned about 5 days before we leave at the rate I'm going now. Production has slowed, I can tell that. I'm just worried about getting Mastitis. I had that when DS was small. I am going to see if DR will let me take a script with me just in case. Hoping for the best  But this is new to me.

Thanks for the tips! I need them! Especially those Deep Breath ones! I'm excited, glad that all is planned and ready to see where it goes. I just don't want things to be too rushed, and I'm really worried the plan is over ambitious.

That is a good point. I assuemed since the opening date was March that it would be daily, but I will double check the schedule before we leave to make sure. Yeah, I had wanted to spend the whole day at AK, but I may split it between DHS and AK. That first day seems hectic to me too, so I think we will not do DHS that first day, and just make a point to see DHS at some point. Two full days with two half days is so hard for a first time trip. I keep telling myself not as hard as it will be for DH with DD!!!! :lmao: Seriously though, I hope I'm not as unrealistic about the things I have planned, but I'm sure I am!

Thanks for all the thoughts Cammie. Definately a big help!

Hope for my little opinion helps. Be back later!

I thought it might be easier to put my comments in red above.
