We plan on bringing DS on Snow white. I have asked all over this board and everyone tells me he should be okay. DH and I have never been on it (lines are always too long) So we shall see what happens. Does anyone know the best place to see Mickey mouse for a photo op?

The Judge's tent in Toontown for sure ... although may be long queue but we have never had any probs

:rotfl2: I so started to post that I would puke on the teacups but I figured I would be considered to big of a baby! Good to know I"m not alone!:thumbsup2 I do think I will do well on the Barnstormer though, but that is about it on the roller coaster. I just about need a sedative to ride a plane! :rotfl:
Double YIKES - spinning and drops! I don't do well with spinning rides - almost threw up once riding the teacups! My DD, on the other hand, doesn't think that ride is too bad; she'll do that but not EE.

Jillian,

When do you get back? I'm wondering if I will hear your report before we go? I hope I am not remembering wrong, but I wasn't planning on "seeking" out Mickey since they do pictures at Chef Mickey's. I figure he will be in the picture. I THOUGHT I read that some where... now I am wondering if I did!

At MK - Mickey is in ToonTown; you go through his house and he's in a tent in the back; sometimes there's also a character greet in front of the castle, but I think you're best bet is Toontown.
AK - He's in safari clothes at Camp Mickey/Minnie
Epcot - I've seen him a couple of different places - sometimes in his Sorcerer's Apprentice outfit; sometimes by the lagoon.
DHS - out by the Sorcerer's Hat - scheduled times throughout the day.

Oh my gosh .. me too on the teacups ... yes i can handle crazy coasters but teacups :scared1: last time we went i could not wait to get off thought i was gonna hurl and my bro videoed the whole thing hmm not looking good

Another big baby here! :scared:

Yes - the Barnstormer is more my speed (I was a little nervous the first time I rode, though!)

I think that you had told me that before and you would be wearing (yellow?) tags on your bags in case I ran into you. I think we will be at AK the same day!

Renee

Who me .. no you must be thinking of someone else hee hee but we will be around WDW the same time anyway hahaha

I must be off my rocker. I thought it was one of our "Girls from Across the Pond"! Sorry... But it was someone on this board - who was it??? hummm

It may have been Tessa the other GFATP ... i know she leaves here the day after me ?????

Now that I think about it, I think it was her. No offense though, half the time I am calling the kids by the other's names! Wouldn't be so bad, but they aren't the same sex!!! :rotfl: Hopefully I will run into you anyway. I will be the mad woman chasing an overly ambitious young man! Look for the person who seems that they really need a drink... that will be me!

:goodvibes
Awww - gave me goosebumps!

What is it about that place? I was in a cranky mood for the first part of the day yesterday; made my call to ME to make reservations and - poof - I was smiley and bouncy for the rest of the day! Makes me happy just talking to WDW! pixiedust:

It's the "on-hold" music - it makes you feel like you're in the world!!!!

It's supposed to be mid-80's this weekend, and I'm 2 hrs north of Orlando! You'll be fine!

OK, I got teary eyed!

From what I've read, if you buy a re-sale everything remains the same, I just didn't know if it cost more points to stay in a resort other than your home resort. Vero Beach is only about 3 hrs from here, so that would be great for us, too! And it's a LOT cheaper than some of the other resales (I couldn't believe that BWV were very inexpensive, too. Maybe because they were one of the first???).

Having a horribly crappy morning today - Dogs are both sick AGAIN, puppy had a big mess this moring, DH (who is NOT so dear right now!) threw a fit when he had to clean it up, so I went on strike. I called him up and told him to call the vet and figure out a bday treat to take to DD's school tomorrow. If he thinks I've got it so cushy, let HIM try it for awhile! I'm done!!!!!!!!!!!

So sorry about your dogs. I understand about the big one, but why does the puppy keep getting sick? :confused3

Good morning everyone. I am getting so excited the week is nearing an end. I made a big boo boo I was suppose to work on Monday and I didn't have it written down on the calendar. I feel like such an A** I can't believe I did that. :confused3

Hope all is well. It is suppose to be warm here today and my mom is coming over to watch the baby so I can get last minute things done sunglasses a new beach towel and a few new bottles for DS.

Jillian! 4 days!!!!

OMG Laura!!!! That is a lot of hair! I currently have pretty close to a pixie cut - I was growing it out until some cheap shop I ran into totally butchered it and I had to get it whacked off to look normal. Now I keep going shorter and shorter!!!! But after our trip, I'm going to try to grow back out to a short bob.

I'm just having a really blue day today! I actually scheduled an appt with a therapist for tomorrow because I'm just not as happy here in FL. Never been to a therapist before, but all the Hollywood types do it, so why not? :rotfl2: I'm thinking there is some trigger here that just causes me to fly off the handle so easily. Like dog poop? Aaaarrrrgggghhhh! I did finally tell DH that I want to have the older dog (Bella) put down. I'm seriously beginning to hate her for what I go through, and that's not fair to her OR to me to feel this way. I know it sounds cold and I NEVER thought I'd feel this way, like she was a burden or something. But it's making me a miserable person.

Anyway, pardon my whining today......:crazy2:

Kara, I have done a lot of big moves as an Air Force wife - it is hard to adjust! You have left good friends behind, you don't know where all of your fav places are, you don't know who you trust with your DD, you probably haven't settled in to your church, you have had adjustments with your job, which is now at home by yourself, and you are losing your dog!

Free Therapy :rotfl2: : It is okay to take a little adjusting time and not expect everything to be perfect at once. It will really help if you can create situations where you can get out and meet people, get on a committee at school, remind DH that you are a little isolated and need him to talk to you more ( and that you need to go to WDW really often :goodvibes )

Dreading that day in May when mine is scheduled. Ahhh the joys of being a woman.

Hair cut went well. My neck is cold. I am trying to get a good picture of me but here is the hair. I'll post once I get a pic that shows the full hair cut.
http://s288.photobucket.com/albums/ll163/lauraschue/?action=view&current=IMG_0165.jpg

Kara sorry about the dogs. Gotta love them and DHs.

Off to the gym.....:yay:

Glad your cut went well, looking forward to the pics! Bikini Wax? :scared1: I just shave alot and wear Tankinis with skirts! :rolleyes1 sorry, TMI!

Oh yeh she is very tall there was very little she could go on her first time at 5only things i thought she was a bit young for like the upside down roller coasters

I agree with both Buzz and Small World for sure ... Oh i spend all day every day excited at the moment 10 days and counting :yay:

Erin, 9 DAYS!!!! :woohoo:

Tessa - you are MIA - 3 days??? :yay:

So cute, Renee! I'm sure your DS has no idea what to expect.

The first three times my DD was at WDW, she was 2 1/2, 4, & 5; ask her what her favorite thing to do from each of those trips and she would say the pool! The pool? I spent all this money to come to WDW and the thing you like best is the POOL?

It doesn't take much to thrill little kids - but I'm sure he'll enjoy everything.

My niece and nephew loved the pool break every day - they asked all morning, "when are we going back to swim?" I think they purposely mis-behaved so we could go back and "rest" which was always in the pool! ;)

And I forgot to say, thanks to everyone.

We could maybe try to FP Peter Pan when we go that first evening. That way he can get a good idea. IASM or Pirates would be good to. We shouldn't get there until 2 or so, so I'm not holding much hope for rides. Mostly char greetings. Maybe a ride or two, but mostly to just soak it in.

I watched the Primal Whirl ( I think it was called) YIKES that thing looks a bit scary too!

Part of your decision should be based on what he's been exposed to before, how he reacts to new situations, and how well he can separate fact from fiction. Most 4 year olds have a hard time separating that out! I think trying Peter Pan and Small World, then graduating to POC, trying Gadget's Go Coaster to see about his "need for speed" and taking it from there.

My DGS, 3 is a little worry wort, and he feels pretty nervous about surprises, so we will have to prepare him really well. He was terrified on POC at 18 mo, so his mom says no POC this time! ;)

Wow, I can't hardly keep up with you guys !!! Miss one or two days, and I'm pages behind...:surfweb:

I've got four days before my 180-day ADR window opens - got to start thinking about where we want to eat on our Fall trip - especially since I want to get at least a dinner at Le Cellier and maybe at the Ca. Grill, too. Maybe I'll check on some dining reviews (aka food-porn) to get inspired. And most likely hungry, too.;)

Aloha --keahi :wave2:

Yeah! You are in the planning stages!!! It is so fun for us to plan our days and our ADRS, isn't it?

Now that I think about it, I think it was her. No offense though, half the time I am calling the kids by the other's names! Wouldn't be so bad, but they aren't the same sex!!! :rotfl: Hopefully I will run into you anyway. I will be the mad woman chasing an overly ambitious young man! Now girls, you can recognize other DISers by their LGMHs - (lime green Mickey heads) stolen from Home Depot in the paint department. I meant to send some to you GATPs, but I somehow forgot when it got closer - sorry. You pick up a few of the "Alien Green" paint chips, cut out the heads, write your DIS board name on them, laminate them back to back and attach them to your bag or backpack. At least you can spot others from this board!

Some also like to wear lime green shirts or crocs! :3dglasses

Okay, part 2:

It's snowing here - just like every Spring Break - it is always the last full week in March here - regardless of Easter. I've had it!!!

So, since our Spring Break is not in "Premium" point time next year, DH and I are moving our WDW trip to next March! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Okay, Hi everyone I didn't already greet - have a wonderful Thursday, and don't get too far ahead - I think there were 5 pages today!

Hiya all

I took a whole day out to get the car insurance claim sorted - and look how many posts!!! And calling me MIA is a bit premature after a day not posting - I know I'm addicted -but not that bad..... surely...... maybe.......

Yep 'twas I who said I'd have the lime green Mickey heads..... not your super-duper US ones from the paint store, but I have some shrink plastic i shaped, coloured in and wrote my DIS name on - the second go I remembered to put a hole in it too - doh. They look ok - will post pic when i can be bothered to go through all that technical stuff again.... Used to be a computer network engineer.....now I just can't be bothered.... odd eh?

I am just getting so excited and doing all the last minute planning - at least we can get just about anything out there if we forget it - so just need to remember passports, tickets etc and worn in shoes....

Insurance company are doing my head in -- they have decided to call it a disputed claim -in other words do it as a knock for knock - the other guy refuses to accept it was his fault and our insurance company can't be bothered to fight it - so we get to pay half of our excess - yippeee - NOT!

Still no tickets!!!! Virgin holidays are a pain - rang the travel agent - they are doling out tickets for the 4th and 5th today, so ours for the 6th should be soon - I just want them NOW!!!!! As a control freak with PMT/PMS you girls will probably know how I'm feeling right now!! I'm going off to raid the kids Easter "stash" of chocolate......

Tessa

Good morning ladies!

Tessa - So sorry about the insurance troubles! They never make things easy; you pay out all that money for coverage and when you finally do need it, they fight you tooth and nail! Hang in there -- DISNEY IN 10 DAYS!!!!!

Tammie - We're supposed to get snow tomorrow - UGH! Even though it's officially spring, we'll probably still be experiencing the winter weather for about another month around here!

Kara - Good luck with your therapy appt. Go easy on yourself - it is a very hard adjustment to make when moving to an entirely new town. I quit my job, left my family and friends and moved to Mass. from NJ in 1993 for my then-husband's job. Within a year, I was home with a newborn who was special needs and a husband who travelled all the time. I felt very isolated -- took me about a year to feel like I had a life again. But it does get better. I have a wonderful group of friends and neighbors that I feel like I've known my whole life. And, I'm another pro-therapy advocate here - as long as you're with the right one. I found one I liked alot and saw her for about two years while I was going through my divorce. She really helped me feel better about things. Hope you have a positive experience also.

Well, I'm going to clear out of here for the morning in a little while - off to the gym. Feel guilty for admitting this (after hearing about you guys and your cleaning woes) but I do have a cleaning lady. She only comes twice a month - but I leave the real nitty-gritty jobs for her; I do a surface clean in between her visits. After my divorce, I got rid of that luxury, figured I could handle it my self being a SAHM. I hated it! You never have enough time to clean the WHOLE house at one time; so one day, it would be: clean the downstairs bathrooms; second day - upstairs; third day - dust & vacuum .....etc. Never had an entirely 100% clean house. So I caved and now factor it into my budget. Besides, I LOVE coming home to a clean house that I didn't clean!

Have a good day everyone!

Okay, haven't heard of Gadget's Go Coaster - what is that? Is it at Disney somewhere? Great point. Maybe I was getting too carried away. Afterall, hard time seperating reality - yep. I will try to do Small World or Peter Pan first though. Good tips.

I didn't realize that, so thanks for telling me!!! For our board to we do that or the pink ears that some of you have in the siggie?

Some also like to wear lime green shirts or crocs! :3dglasses
Thanks!@

Tessa, sorry things are so crazy for you! Yes, I'd be antsy about the tickets too. I have only or ME tickets & luggage tags. We bought a package and I BELIEVE that I get all that once I check in. I better anyway! :scared1:

Okay, call me a fun ruiner, but DS and I have been watching the you tubes of certain rides. After watching several I asked him what he wanted to do when we get to WDW. Ready for this?

1. Play ring around the rosie
2. Play it again
3. Meet new friends (he is a social butterfly)
4. Play in the pool
5. Play with his new friends
and oh yeah - eat dinner with Mickey, Pooh, Tigger, Pluto, Goofy, Daisy and Minnie ALL IN ONE SPOT :lmao:
He also mentioned something about meeting "Dinglebell":rotfl2:

Renee - OK, this entire post just made me laugh out loud!!!! :rotfl2: And seriously, do not count out Splash Mtn - it's way more than just a water ride. The animation inside the mountain is awesome! See if you can find it on you tube - it's like Pirates, and Small World all through the moutain before and after the drop (which looks much bigger than it is - we're even taking FIL on that one and he has fused vertebrae in his neck so he can't take any jarring or wild rides). My sis and her family missed it on both their last trips because they thought it was just a thrill ride (and it's not that big of a drop, really). But you will get a little wet!

We plan on bringing DS on Snow white. I have asked all over this board and everyone tells me he should be okay. DH and I have never been on it (lines are always too long) So we shall see what happens. Does anyone know the best place to see Mickey mouse for a photo op?

Jillian - We stumbled upon Character Connection in Epcot where the Fab 5 are and had 2 people in front of us to wait. Get there right at 10am when they open - it's in Future World, I think right near Innoventions? But we were able to get that out of the way right away! And because all 5 are there, we didn't have to hunt for them. Also, Camp Minnie Mickey at AK is kinda hidden so the lines there were short, too. But in Toontown the line is always LOOOONG (as in over an hour in some cases!).

:goodvibes

Thanx, Tammie! :goodvibes You're very right, but my problem is that I can't just let it go. I literally cannot relax. I KNOW that I should take some time to get adjusted, but I want it all NOW! I've actually hired a designer to come to my house to help with me window treatments. Never thought I'd do that, but I just can't make the time to do it myself, so I'm caving in now. And I totally agree with Cammie about a cleaning lady. I used to have one every other week and I knew that my WHOLE house would be cleaned then. I only paid her $70 each time for 2900 sq ft house. We now have a slightly larger house and my neighbor (with the same size) said she pays hers $125 each time. I just can't justify that!!!!! And sometimes it's not the clean, it's the clutter. I want to know that my neighbors could pop in at any time and not leave thinking, "ewwww." Right now for example, I have dishes in the sink, crumbs all over the counters, mail spread out over the counters, plus DD's school papers, a dog collar (?), and some other junk that does not belong there. And the countertops are always smudged and smeared. I hate that! Yes, I'm anal, yes I'm a control freak, which is why this drives me insane!

And my office? Yikes! :scared1: It looks like a tornado went through here. So that is my #1 priority today. Actually, I've been making a list on Monday mornings and trying to work through it that way. So I literally plan on about 1 hr a day of whatever needs done in the house. And sometimes I take on more in a day so then I'm not as stressed later inthe week. It actually seems to help a little. But I still want the cleaning lady! :rotfl2:

Hiya all

Tessa, step away from the chocolate! :lmao: Ya know, between the stress and anxiety of the upcoming trip (did I rememer everything?) and the car accident, you deserve a chocolate bunny - just rip his head off and you'll feel better! :rotfl: I know that insurance companies can be a pain, but if I were you I'd fight them big time, especially if it was the other guy's fault. Were there any witnesses? A police report? It's so frustrating! As for the tickets, they will be there any day now. Deep breath.... and another chocolate bunny? ;)

Good morning ladies!

Have a good day everyone!

Cammie - thanx for the support! I'm a little nervous about spilling my guts to a stranger today. We'll just play it by ear. Today I feel pretty strong, like I can do anything, so we'll see.

However, I put on a cute pair of capris from last spring - and couldn't snap them! :scared1: I've been very lax on my diet - I've even missed my last two Jenny Craig appts, and only been to the gym once a week at best here lately. Plus, the bikes are collecting dust in the garage, and even the poor dog hasn't been walked. I have got to get serious. We're leaving in 5 weeks for WDW so I think I can lose 8-10 lbs by then if I go 100% Jenny Craig between now and then. I have to.... I think this weight gain (after losing 22 lbs it really makes me mad!) is part of my problem. I just feel so totally out of control!

Hello Keahi - Is it warm and beautiful in HI? Supposed to be 80 here today - yesterday it was mid 70's and I was going to take a chair and sit outside and get some sun, but living in a wooded neighborhood, we get deer, armadillos, and other creatures in our yard, and they leave, uh, er, um, presents for us - in some cases LARGE presents! :rotfl2: Plus our puppy is getting bigger, and his "presents" are getting larger too. Needless to say, it doesn't smell so fresh in our backyard!!! So DH cleaned up last night. I'm hoping maybe I can sit outside today and catch some rays!

Debbie - Where are you??????

To everyone headed to the World soon, don't forget to pack sunscreen - and make sure you use it while you're there!!!! I got a little sunburn (and it was only 70 degrees and partly cloudy) when we were there earlier this month. Be careful!

Check back later today, I'm going to try to post some little "gifts" for y'all to take on your upcoming trips!

Good morning ladies!

Well, I'm going to clear out of here for the morning in a little while - off to the gym. I had the same setup. I let her go at the first of the year. Same thing, as a SAHM I feel I should do it, but with two small kids only a small fraction of the house is clean at a time (if even then). It is crazy. I miss her. Her schedule is full. I'm sure I could find someone else, but the "I told you" that will come from DH mouth is more than I think I can handle!
