I am just chiming in...
I am so mad at my kids right now I am seeing stars. I am rushing around trying to get a thousand things done so we can leave at 3:00 and I literally find a new surprise when I turn the corner! They are destroying the house behind me. I mean it's almost comical! Days like this we belong on the Super Nanny!

I swear I have typed this post before.......
Matthew is screaming his head off in the crib now and Elizabeth is forbidden to leave her room! I am so mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not as mad as Cammie but mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am literally dizzy from yelling. Some days my patience is ZERO...

I am sorry to hear everyone is having "one of those" days. Debbie- we are on a 3 week TV hiatus. Beth was so bad Tim just kept taking more and more time away. I finally called him out at 3 weeks. I'm thinking it is going to rain during that time and I am not that creative to keep her entertained. I love her but want to ground her to her room for life somedays.

kara- the houseguest sound like a piece of work. I know you said that they were a PITA. Its tough when they are on your turf. Our friends in West Palm wanted us to stay with them. Really glad we didn't I think it would have destroyed our friendship. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out well for you.

Cammie- Sorry to hear about Ex being such a turkey. He should know that asking what time a child would be home is normal. I think it is great that you are supporting Lauren having a relationship with him.

I'm headed to a gathering of Tim's family. It should really push my boundries of self-control. I love my niece and nephews. I'll just keep repeating that.

Just in case I don't get logged in tomorrow. Everyone be safe and have fun! I've got to hop in the shower now and try to be presentable for this evening. Tomorrow will be a long day, having about 13 people over for cookout after spending the day at the pool so I'm sure I'll sleep 1/2 of Saturday! But it will be worth it!

Kara - I don't even know what to say! Good grief! Hang in there -- Saturday is almost here!

We're having a block party for July 4th; then the 5th is Amanda's birthday - so just a small cookout with a few friends. My family will be invading my turf on the 18th to celebrate Amanda's birthday then.

Another stupid-Ex update: the man NEVER things about things from the kids' point of view. He didn't leave NYC until 2pm - the day before the long holiday weekend. Lauren just texted me - they're sitting in traffic and they're still two hours away! Poor thing. It would have made sense leaving at that time if they had actually gotten up and done something this morning, but Lauren said they slept until 11:30!

I'm going to have that drink now!

Just took a shower, did my hair and put on makeup and I feel soooo much better! We're heading to the clubhouse for taco night tonight.

Cammie - thanx for the beer flight info! That will be great! I've got an icy cold drink sitting by me right now! Ahhhhh! Jeff and I always start our trips at DTD so RR sounds like a great place to start!

Don't know - but they were at the Yankee game. For him, it actually doesn't matter what time he goes to bed - that man likes his sleep! It's one of the things that bothered me sooo much when we were married. I mean, I could sleep until noon in college - but then I grew up! While we were married, I was always trying to get him up and out of bed; and this was after letting him sleep until 9am! I'm sorry, when you're a grown man and you've got kids, you should be up earlier!

Well sounds like everyone else has had the same kind of day as Me. I just had no control today Mike was driving me crazy and Badookie has been a terror. We went out to dinner and he pulled the table cloth off of the table I was so imbaressed I just picked him up and strapped him back in the high chair. My Poor mother took him out to the car to let me finish my meal.

Hiya all,

happy 4th of July to you lot across the pond - though don't know if it is "historically appropriate " for a Brit......

Anyhow -can I add to the cr***y days we are all having..... first a phone call -when we were over there our main credit card got cloned!!! So we have had it cancelled - luckily it was a known fraudster, so nothing lost....

then DD7 got an infection so she is now on the same penicillin her sister is allergic to - she hasn't had it before, so we are keeping our eyes open and buckets close by...

then my neighbour and friend told me her hubby left her yesterday..... with 3 kids under 5 years old, no job and a big mortgage - a typical male mid-life thing of
"I don't want the responsibility for it all any more so bye and good luck to you..."

Life is never simple - I feel so much for her...........
