He is so cute!!!

No it barely broke the skin THANK GOD! It's just a bad bruise with red marks. At least this last batch of shots included a tetanus shot! I washed it and put neosporin on it. I swear that swan was as big as her! It was fast and scary! I am so mad at myself that I didn't know better. It just happed so fast!

Oh and get this...
Remember how I told you guys we booked our trip with miles to WDW in September. Well, my parents, my brother and his girlfriend booked the 10:15AM flight and we booked the 1:15PM flight because there were only so many openings on flights that day to use miles. We thought OK we will drive my parents, my brother and his girlfriend to the airport and just have to worry about our family getting there. My Mom and Dad would then get the rental car, get us all checked in and then we would just take the Magical Express and meet up with them when everything was taken care of.

OK move on to me checking the flights almost daily because they are TED. They already changed our return flight to an hour later but who cares because now we get to be in WDW leaving an hour more. So I check again yesterday and I see they have now changed my flight leaving O'Hare to a half hour later! I am bummed because I didn't like how late we were getting there anyway but oh well what are you going to do.
I say to my Mom "I better check your flight since my times keep changing".

Guess what?!
They canceled her flight and put her on my flight!!!!!! Now we are all together. Fine but why couldn't they put us on the earlier flight together!
Thank goodness we are only paying for the ASM that night since we will barely be there that day. That trip is going to seem way too short!
Crazy huh!

Debbie - YIKES!:scared1: about your DD! The poor thing! Yes, I imagine you are now going to go through a horrible period of her being terrified of anything with wings! Can't say that I blame her! Don't ever stay at the WL; I was shocked at how bold the ducks were! They had no problem coming into the pool - no matter how crowded!

And, keep checking on those flights. The way things are going these days, you'll probably see those times change again!

Kara - Just keep drinking with that girlfriend of yours! Will help to make the time pass by quicker!

Jillian - And, yes, your Badookie is adorable!

You've got to keep watching that show though. The parents are watching these teenagers all the time; then they'll come over and yell at them if they're not taking care of the kids properly. The teens get all bent out of shape - it's a hoot!

Alright - I've posted another installment for my TR and I'm exhausted! I'm off to bed. Have a good night ladies!

We'll be in front of the TV tonight to watch the Baby Borrowers! I hope every parent has their 13+ child watching that show so they can see it's not all barbie dolls and happiness. Don't get me wrong I love my kids, but I live in MA (not the same town) where those 17 high school girls all got pregnant in some group thing to have their babies together. I hope these girls are all watching this show. I think tonight they are suppose to get another older precious child to add to the fun.

So last night I helped my BGF move..yeah my back does hurt, but hey I did the best friend thing so I feel that will put my one step closer to heaven right?? Good lord the place she moved into is a dump, but how do you say that. At least she and her two girls aren't living with her grandmother anymore. The place itself is nice considering the rent, but the area is not what I'd call 'kid appropriate'. She's got her two girls and he's got two girls. The neighbors look like they have children, (pool, swing and some toys in the front yard) but honestly it doesn't look like the nicest part of town. She wants me to drop my girls off there in the AM because she watches my kids 2 days a week. How the heck am I going to tell her I don't want to???

Good morning girls

Nothing going on here today don't have to babysit :dance3: but do have to

Jillian you are getting really creative with the smileys. I just shot some of you an e-mail with some interesting things in it. Let me know if you don't get it.

Bunch o happy smilie gals today, huh?

Well, now I've come down with a summer sick - hopefully just a cold. Started with a sore throat last night, and still today so popping tylenol and vitamin C. I've got a 4 day weekend starting tomorrow, and our friends leave on Saturday so I'll have Sunday to recuperate.

We've known these friends for 14 years and we've been really good friends, even though she is bossy, demanding, a real PITA, but we have lots of fun with them so we've kind of learned to overlook it. But this is the first time they've ever stayed with us so it's a little tricky. They went to St Augustine and the beach today, so they should be gone all day. Whew!

I've been really getting into reading all these TRs lately - there's one titled something about "Why I didn't speak to my sister for a week." It's pretty good, too. I think the OP wrote it to vent and get it out of her system. Basically it sounds like she and her mother worked extra hours and even took a second job so they could pay for the sister and her "partner", neither one work (and they're in their 30's!) to go to WDW. And then they get there and the sister and her friend are a couple of lazy bums. I think I'd scream!!! Oh, and they're from France so it was a very expensive trip for them!

HI everyone!

Kara - hope your hanging in there with the company. Can't wait to hear the stories. Bet you have some good ones at this point! popcorn::

Debbie - OMG! I'm so glad she is okay! Does she seem to be upset?

Cammie - I'm with you. Planning a small little party for DH. Actually, Nicolas is. Darth Vader party :lmao: and he wants to go to TrUS to see if he can find him a darth vader mask as a present. Nicolas wants to get the storm trooper suit, so they can play. :rotfl2: I'm so sure that is EXACTLY what DH wants! Amanda's little get together sounds perfect for a return trip. Less is always better for them. It tends to weed out all the stress - since it is only the "core" there, you get to be more yourself, I think.

Jillian - I'm here. I'm in a massive reorginazation mode. I've cleaned/reorganized my closet, cleaned our bathroom, working on our bedroom, reorganizing our storage. Just trying to make more room, and remove things that have been here for years since we will use it "someday". I wanted to continue that today, but my antibiotics ended yesterday and today I'm already stuffy and have a horrible headache. I hope that isn't from the sinus thing - that it is something different! I hope you feel better soon. Wisdom Teeth - ouch! Poor thing!

I think my ebay thing is a success. I am up $180, which I only "hoped" best case to make $150, so I'm quite pleased! I have one more day to go. I'm just hoping that the shipping goes smooth. Thanks to Kara, I'm a little nervous about that part. Kara = did you ever get that straightened out?

Anyway, I feel cruddy. I have a lot to do today too. What is up with this! UGGHHH! Why are my sinuses so crazy!

Quick check in - I just slept for 2 1/2 hrs!!!!! I think I broke my fever though - I woke up sweating, all yuck! Sore throat is a bit better. Hopefully just a quick summer cold and I've kicked it. Now I have lots to do to catch up at work since I'm off tomorrow!

I know my peeps over here like reality TV so I have to ask if anyone has seen the "Baby Borrowers" on NBC. It may not be trashy enough for Debbie and Kara, but it is hysterical! They have five teenage couples (not married, just dating) who think they are ready to have a baby. They move them into their own house and then people LEND them their children to care for!:scared1:

Hahaha we have something similar here only they start with babies then toddlers then roughly age 7-9 then teenagers then old people hahahahha cracks me up when they get to the teens because obviously they're all teens themselves!!!! :lmao:

Heading over to check out your TR Cammie :)

It's the same show - they said it was based on a British show. They spend 3 days with an infant; then a toddler; then pre-teen; teenagers, then SENIOR CITIZENS!

Heading over to check out your TR Cammie :)

Oh thanks - enjoy!

Oh man - have you opened a can of worms now! If you want, Kara and I can go on and on about how awesome we think the BW is! And I'm sure Debbie will chime in on how great she thinks the GF is.

But seriously, you need to figure out where you think you'll be spending most of your time and what features are most important. I do think the mods. offer a good variety. I'm sure the value resorts are nice, but they tend to be the most crowded - therefore the pool will always be crowded and you may have long waits for the bus. If that won't bother you, then save your money and stay at a value. No one resort is going to be 100% perfect for everything. I love the BW - can walk to Epcot and MGM; bus rides to MK and AK aren't too long; and I love the nighttime activity on the BW when you get back from the park. Resorts like GF, Poly, CR, or WL put you very close to MK; but, IMO, to get to any other park is a pain! The only mod. I ever stayed at was the CBR - and that was 18 years ago! I remember it being very nice and the buses weren't that bad. Personally, I don't mind being on a bus for 20-30 minutes to get to a park - as long as I have a seat. I can't be bothered with driving my own car and dealing with parking.

Is there anything else you want some thoughts on? I'm not shy with my opinions!

Cammie - I hope you are okay! That stuff isn't fun. Be sure to have your roof checked. Ours looked fine, but our agent came out and said the whole roof was bruised and had to be replaced. He also gave us gutters, door frames, garage door, playset, oh - and DH's car :scared1: The damage wasn't that obvious at first glance either.

Hope you & the girls stay safe!

HOly cow Cammie! They just showed that storm on the Weather Channel! Yikes! Be careful!

Seriously, I thought someone was throwing rocks at my window - it was hail the size of pingpong balls! I've never seen anything like it. It then started to pour, along with thunder and lightning. Then the power went out; and, of course, I have Amanda on her ventilator today so I had to scurry around for the back-up batteries! Fortunately, the power was back on w/in 45 minutes.

I don't think there would be any damage; it left as quickly as it came in. The sun is shining right now; think the storm lasted all of twenty minutes. Weird.:confused3

Erin - as for the resorts: Now you've gone and done it and here I goooooo!

Value - I've only stayed at POP Century but we love it! Been there twice and will stay again on any long trips. We just spend all our time at the parks so it works for us. The rooms are small, but when you're pooped from 14 hrs in the park its no problem. The theming is fun and colorful. We've never had a problem with buses here as this is one of the few resorts that only has ONE stop - only one busstop within the resort and no other resorts on the same bus line.

Moderate - I've stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and Coronado Springs. Ally and I are staying at Coronado again in November and I'm really excited! We don't usually do mods cause for us, it's a waste of money because like I said before, we spend all our time in the parks. But the mods have more theming, nicer pools, which includes a water slide, and just a little bit larger rooms. POR was very nice to wander throough, but we only do mods for short trips where the extra $100 per night doesn't add up as much.

Deluxe. - I honeymooned at Boardwalk Inn and love love love it!!! We love that we can walk to Epcot and walk or boatride to the Studios. Then MK or AK is by bus. It's a beautiful deluxe resort and I think what you're paying for in a deluxe is location location location!!! They do have more theming than the mods, nicer pools, but only deluxe resorts are going to be on the monorail or walking distance to any of the parks. Jeff and I are staying at Yacht Club in September which is right across from the Boardwalk so it's in the same general location. I'm VERY excited to stay here!

For the money, I'm very comfortable in the value resorts. But if you spend a lot of time in the room or at the resort, I'd go moderate. And if you just want to splurge and really enjoy the resort, go deluxe (but it is a BIG splurge in my opinion - for 7 days you're looking at around $1500 more just for the resort!). You've got a lot of time to explore your options though.
