Looking for Control Freaks & Worry Warts - Part 4!!!

I cleaned the den yesterday, and we sorted out the toys and got them in a closet in the guest room. We put the foos ball table back in there and I shampooed the carpet. Now I just need to unpack my coke collectables that were in there. I was using a baker's rack with a wine rack for them. I think I'd like to put out a few less things and utilize the wine rack.

We went out to see the new restaurant that Lindsay's parents opened - we had a nice visit with them, and they wouldn't let us pay. It felt good for us to clear the air about what we did or didn't know and just to understand and appreciate each other!

We went to outdoor church this morning - love sitting at church barefoot on the grass!:hippie: Then we went out to Mexican lunch, and I'm trying to stay awake while Jim watches "Wanted." wierd movie. We're getting the bedding washed in the guest room now - nice to have the Sanitizer cycle. I'm going to clean in there tomorrow, and that will be the last room, except to get my office all moved so Jim can have the storage space again.

I really need to start packing and sorting for our trip so I know what I'm taking office-wise, and I'll need both Summer and Fall clothes. We're also taking a trip to Yellowstone in Oct - it might already be snowing there!

Evening all! Hope you had a great Sunday! Now it's back to the grind tomorrow!

I've finished the skirt - I even did a matching headband, but I just had a fight with DD10 so I know she won't try the skirt on so I can take a picture of it. These pre-teen attitudes make me CRAZY!!!! She was made at me because I wouldn't let her friend come over today (hello her friend who slept over Friday night) after her friend called a dozen times while my parents where here. Sorry but Sunday is family day, we play games, watch a movie, eat at the kitchen table and spend time together.

Really trying to work on loosing weight for our trip and not spending any money before it.

Tessa - trying to drink my gallon of water every day!! How are you doing? LOL - I think of you every time I run to the bathroom - :lmao: I know that doesn't sound right, but I think about how we don't need the bowl of ice cream and take another drink of water, which causes the run to the bathroom.

Kara - sounds like your weekends aren't busy at all. How many loads of laundry did you get in with all that going on?? Just kidding. :rotfl: You must be so proud of her!!

Jillian - take it easy - use this time to rest because when the baby does come you'll need that reserved sleep! Awesome about your little one sleeping in his big boy bed! They grow so fast!

Magicfor2 - didn't know you were a Coke fan! Have you been to a Cracker Barrel lately - tons of Coke products. DH drinks WAY too much Coke - about a 12 pack of soda a day - but he's gotten it down to a 6 pack for the summer. Sounds like you had a great day!

Suprise - DD10 just came out and apologized for being a crazy girl. She's not tired - we'll it's time for bed. Watching Next Food Network - love this show!

Ok I'll talk to you all later!

The weekends just go too fast. I am not ready to go back to work tomorrow! This is our last week of driver's ed, but it's 5-7, so Darrin & I need to take turns leaving work early. We saw Harry Potter at the dinner theater last night, and decided we needed to watch the first 5 movies. We only got an hour thru the first one tonight. I drank a cup of coffee about 30 mins ago, so I will probably toss & turn all night. I'll get caught up tomorrow. Night all!

Tina, glad you got the skirt done. Yes, I love coke, and I like all the nostalgia - I have some old things, and then I have some cokes from other countries and some commemorative bottles and cans. I have a couple of antique magazine ads, too!

My den is my Americana room - just not finished. I have a trunk in there with the us flag as the top, some sports pics and trophies from the boys and a framed Pearl Harbor poster. My coke stuff works in there. I want to do something else with the walls and windows, but I haven't figured it out yet. We had everything put away while the kids were here and used it for a play room.

I know - Jim is off tomorrow, so I know I won't get the things done that I want to - he'll have his own agenda of "helping" me. Sounds like you had a good weekend. Good Night and happy Monday!

Hi all, i have been here but have been on my laptop and every time i have tried to comment it has all crashed on me so had to wait till on main comp hahaha

HaHa Erin! Yes, Lauren feels very lucky. Is so sad it's over. She's is in post-JB depression right now.

Oh bless her, so glad you guys had so much fun though and totally loving the pics
Erin - WOO HOO on a disney ticker have a blast it's coming up so fast.
Cool! Erin - What is DLP? Just struck me. Disneyland Paris? Very cool!

Yep DLP is Disneyland Paris .. i am very excited although nothing compares to WDW but we still have 27 weeks to go till then hahahahaa

Check out my siggie!!!!! I just booked a weekend at WL -

WooooHoooo how exciting Kara!!

So Lauren is in NYC with her dad this weekend. What is supposed to be dad/daughter bonding time has turned into a boys weekend with Lauren tagging along. The ex's brother and 9yr.old nephew went also. They are going to a Yankee game today and who knows what else. For dinner last night they went to the ESPN Zone; AND Lauren is sharing a room with all three of them - sleeping in the same bed with her father! The poor thing is miserable; only got 3 hours of sleep last night because of all the snoring. Yeah, this is how a 13 yr.old girl wants to spend a weekend.

Oh Cammie poor Lauren that is just ridiculous, thats just what a 13 yr old girl wants, to be sharing a room with all men, poor kid

Hi girls

Wow you were busy maybe I'm a thread killer LOL. Everything went well yesterday thank you for all of your concern. I was happily drugged up yesterday and only had a bit of pain today I felt like I was kicked in the stomach a few times, but it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. The doctor said he took care of everything and there was alot in there that he didn't see on ultrasound. So now is the 2 month countdown until we can start trying to have Baby #2. Just in time for Disney
Jillian so glad all went well on friday, now stick to that bedrest

Ok what a week we have had here, those of you on facebook no exactly what i mean!
It was my Bf DD's b'day on tuesday, she turned 13 bless her, 13 at last!! During the party day her Ds7 turned really unwell, and was really sick, this carried on till wednesday, we all thought it was a stomach bug or at a push maybe swine flu .. early hours of thursday morning she had to rush him to docs as he was so so poorly, and she was told it was appenticitis, by half 9 thursday morning he was in the operating theatre having it taken out!! Poor poor boy!! He finally came home yesterday and is not a happy kiddo

 I AM SO EXCITED!!! I just got off the phone w/WDW, and got free dining added to our reservation!!! We just got the counter service dining plan, as we are staying at POP, and upgrading to the deluxe plan would have been an additional $20/pp/day. We only do 3/4 sit downs a trip, and aren't reall extravagant w/our meals, so I didn't feel it would be worth it. We will pay out of pocket for those. We also get our resort mugs included, which is $40. I am ecstatic!!!!:yay: TTYL!

Yea Pam!!!! I priced our trip with "free dining" and it was going to add about $170 to the cost of the trip for 2 nights...... we got such a good deal on the room, that we'll just do maybe two TS meals and use our TIW card and it will probably come out cheaper that way.

Tina - don't worry, your body will adjust and you won't be hitting the little girls room as much. Water is the key for me when I try to shed the pounds. Just keep your 64 oz a day (more when you're out in the heat) and that will help a lot with weight loss.

Jillian - We started Ally in the big bed when she was 3 - and the first night, we were watching TV and heard, "thump!" and sure enough, she was on the floor, still sound asleep!!!! That was the only night she fell out of the bed though. I don't know how, but she was always so tired when she went to bed that she fell right to sleep. She's still that way now - doesn't matter when she goes to bed, she's asleep in minutes.

Holy flippin' mother of crud! WAIT until you hear the weekend Lauren had with her dad!!!!!!:headache::sad2:

Not only did she have to share a hotel room with three guys (dad, uncle, 9yr.old cousin) but there was only ONE bed in the room. A king-size bed and then a pullout. She begged her dad to let her sleep on the pullout but he told her no; she had to sleep in the bed with him and her cousin. His logic? The three guys wouldn't sleep comfortably in the bed together. So..........let's make the 13yr.old girl incredibly uncomfortable? Lauren said she fell asleep by midnight the first night and was awoken at 3am by all the snoring. And the fact that her cousin tosses and turns and also likes to sleep close to a warm body. (EW!) She said she went into the bathroom and just cried! :sad1: She said by Sat. night, she was so exhausted, she put her Ipod on and just passed out.

So this was her weekend in NYC with her dad: arrive by 5pm Friday; go to ESPN Zone for dinner; back to hotel and bed; sleep 3 hours; get over to Yankee stadium by 10am, even though game doesn't start until 1pm, so you can walk around and see the memorabillia ; had fun at the game; 4:30- game ends, head back into Manhattan. The "boys" wanted to go to the ESPN Zone AGAIN for dinner! Lauren couldn't take it so she told her dad she just wanted to go back to the room. So - in the room by 5:30; ordered room service and stayed in. Thankfully they got up Sunday, went out for breakfast and she was home by 3pm. What a stupid waste for her. And he wonders why she doesn't like going away with him.

Tammie - You have a few trips planned! Good for you. And did I miss something? What did you need to clear up with Lindsay's parents?

Tina - Now watchin the Food Network is NOT going to help with the dieting! :rolleyes1

Erin - hope your friend's son is doing better. Glad you're enjoying the pix. I posted some on FB but will also post some more here.

Pam - WooHoo! :yay:

Kara - Lauren is so excited we'll be in WDW that weekend together! :dance3:

Just jumpin in here to say Happy Monday to all!!

I'm so excited I'm down 3 lbs!! for the week. All that walking is paying off! Just found out my 32 oz water bottle was a 7 - BPA - so I had to toss it. :( I'm going to have to dig through my plastics to make sure we're not making the girls sick. Now I need a new water bottle. :(

Hey check out my sig - 30 day mark!!

Cammie- Poor Lauren this is something I would talk to him about. Maybe he thought she would decide not to go? What an A** ! How's miss Amanda?

Kara- Luca is not happy with his big boy bed we have been laying down with him and he wakes in the middle of the night and screams for us. He has not fallen out yet thank goodness. Tonight I think I am going to make him sleep and put the baby gate up:confused3 By the way WL is the next place we are going to stay I think for a weekend and just me and the hubs.

Pam- Woo HOO on the free dining. This is our 1str time with free dining I'm hoping they extend the dates for the Wishes dessert party.

So weight watchers begins today and I am have 2 months to loose 20lbs. I am down to a 1000 calorie diet so I can have an easier time getting pg.

Jillian - be careful with only 1000 calories. I had a friend who couldn't lose weight because she wasn't eating enough calories and her body went into starvation mode and was not burning any calories. When I lost 20 lbs with JC, I was on a 1200 calorie plan (which is what I'm trying to stick to now) and I was consistently losing 2-4 lbs the first 4 weeks, then 1-1 1/2 each week after that. If you eat too few calories, your body won't burn them and you'll get frustrated at eating so little and not losing weight. Just a thought....

Cammie - SERIOUSLY???? What a complete jerk!!! He just doesn't get it! I mean, what 13 year old girl wants to go away with 3 guys to begin with. Then add in ESPN club, then a baseball game, then everything else that boys like!!!! Does he realize her name is Lauren and not Bob??? Idiot!

Kara- This is per the Doctor I was concerned also since I have never gone under 1400 calories, but that's what they want. :confused3 I agree I think 1200 is the better way to go.

Crazy busy this week-I'm teaching camp and starting to get Xmas card promotions out for my Stampin Up business. Im hoping being organized early on will pay off before the holiday season! I'd really like to make some money!

Rainy Monday. I'm not dreary tho! Still excited about the free dining. Unlike Lucky Kara, I haven't gotten free dining or discounts or upgrades on our WDW trips! Just kidding. Our dates are usually blocked out! I just can't believe it!

Cammie - I so LOVE Rob P, but don't like Kristen S! I thought they were great together in the movie, but personally, not so much! (ha!) Sorry to hear about poor Lauren's weekend. That is so not fair to her. She will start telling him that she doesn't want to see him, and that will be his fault. I am glad that everything is OK w/Amanda's mouth. I believe you are right about the drs making money off referring. They just don't realize the worry they cause us in the long run.

Jillian - Did you fulfill your bedrest obligation? It sounds like Badookie is going to be OK w/his bed. It just takes time for some kids. Mine did pretty well, but had periods of time when they would be standing in our doorway during the night, and I let them come into the bed w/us. It would last a week or so, then they wouldn't do it for awhile. Darrin hated it, but I was OK w/it, as long as it wasn't an every day thing for months or years. Just our preference. Some people like to sleep w/the kiddos. I don't like to be kicked! Good luck! Good news about the WL trip! When would that be?!

Tina - I laughed about your daughter's pre-teen attitude. Been there, done that, living that. Just think of our poor hubbys, and all of the hormones they experience in the house on a daily basis. YIKES.

Tammie - My house needs some cleaning, organizing....:rolleyes1 Sounds like you've been on a roll! It also sounds like you have a lot of trips planned!?

Kara - I haven't figured out what the free dining is saving me, but I think we're paying $118 for the Pop, and the discounted rate as of today would have been $88. Getting the park tickets thru my employer would save us about $100 total, vs getting them thru WDW (I have to get at least 4- one day tickets to get the free dining). We will pay for our 3 table service meals. I still think it's saving us a lot of money! We ended up buying Taylor's school supplies from the list, vs the pre-packaged. I don't know if that saved us money or not, but we had tons of fun picking out the stuff at Walmart.

Erin - DLP. I'll trade you. WDW for DLP! Hee, hee! I've never been to Europe. Will someday, tho!

Yesterday was Megan's turn to get started on back to school shopping for clothes. I have decided to take them separately this year, because it is just easier. I hope that we get a majority of hers next weekend. I'm just about done with Taylor's. I want something new!:)

Debbie said to tell everyone hello and she'll be back soon - while on vacay she can't post on the DIS but she said she can read it. Let's see if she sees this.....

Debbie is a gooberhead!!!!!! :rotfl2:

Yes, I'm an adult..... :rolleyes1

Luca took a nap in his big boy bed all alone!!!!!!:cool1::banana::woohoo::dance3:
I am so proud of him and he was so proud of himself it was awsome!

Well you have somewhere to stop in if you ever make it this far ;)
Ok i cannot believe you guys are talking about back to school we've only been finished a week and a half hahahahhahaha

Yayyayayayayaayy that's fab Jillian well done Badookie

Jillian .. i can't believe i have just noticed our tickers are so close but not quite, i have 6 months and 2 days and you have 6 months and 30 days .. what a bummer, i would have loved to have a DIS meet :confused3

Erin my dates are not final they are a guess I was looking at TP and those had the lowest numbers:scared: The rest of the year looked down right busy. What are your exact dates? I will see if I can convince Mike to go then. Usually we wait for our tax rebate.

I am looking at DLP for 2011? I am going to need your advice so I will be PMing you.

Hi ladies! I watched Blachorette while drinking a couple of glasses of wine, and now I'm DP by myself! :rotfl2:

Yep, Jim was home today and every time I took a break in my work, he had some project we should do - but we got alot done in the guest room. We switched dressers from our room to the guest room, and moved the bed back to the way it was "before kids." Jim was furiously washing and sanitzing blankets and pillows all day. On top of the linens in that room, we had about 4 blankets and quilts on the suede leather couch in the den to protect it from the kids and dog, so all of those needed to be washed and put away. Oh boy! I'm going to have to find a way to keep him busy when he retires. On the other hand, we are having a "honeymoon" period - not all bad. :rolleyes1

Several of you asked about trips - I don't remember what I wrote, but I guess we do: LA and Vegas in August on our way to be stationed in Boise temporarily.
- Texas in Dec
2010
- Vegas and Pheonix in March - planning on driving and taking Jim's birth mom to see his DB in Pheonix when we go to Vegas - HELP! (Actually my idea - yah, Kara - you can laugh at me now! :rotfl2:)

- Texas in May for Memorial Day - maybe Vero Beach
- Hawaii and cruise in Oct

Wow! I should be happy - lots of planning to do!

Kara - love the news about Debbie! Funny she could post on FB!

Tina - congrats on getting your weight loss going.

Jillian - don't starve yourself - your body rebels, like Kara said! I found that putting 1/2 as much on your plate and listening to your full signals really helps! If you put twice as much veggies on your plate as starches, it can make a big difference! Yeah for the BIG BOY BED!:banana::banana:

Lydia - good job getting ready for the holiday season already! Our sweet Lorrie sent me some scrapping and stampin' Up stuff - I made a card, but it wasn't pretty. When I get something worth posting done, i will :goodvibes

Pam! Congrats on the free dining!:yay:

Cammie - posting in red 'cause I'm so mad! I can't believe that man made your daughter go through that kind of weekend! I am thinking being a guy he probably doesn't realize it's different with girls - and he's probably refusing to see she's growing up. I think you need to tell him that girls don't do "guy slumber parties" and let him know how upset she was. Being in a household of all boys, I can tell you they don't have a clue! I have been on many many basketball and baseball trips with "the boys" and they just don't get it. Jim wanted to have his coaching buddy stay in our room with us one time to save $$. Are you kidding me?:confused3

Hi to everyone else - Happy Tuesday!
