Looking for cheap hotel in Macon, GA...

We will be driving from MO so we need a hotel along I75 or 475. I have seen on here before that a few people recommended the Hampton Inn off of I475. It is 99 a night so closer to $120 after fees are added. Since we would stay there on the way home too that is $240 total. I would rather have the extra cash at Disney. We are just going to sleep there. We will get in there just in time to sleep, wake up and hit the road again. Any suggestions for somewhere less expensive that is pet FREE (allergies)?
It may be wishful thinking, you may all say that anything cheaper would be a dump and dirty, but I have to try

Use hotels.com to do some research on both prices and customer reviews, then go over to tripadvisor.com to look at another set of reviews. You should be able to figure out what things cost and how good or bad the places are. Good luck with your research!

We stayed at the Wingate along I75 in Macon last year for $59+tax. The total was just under $70. It was very clean and had a decent free breakfast. I'm not sure if it is pet free though.

I also don't get paying $120+ a night for an 8-10 hour stopover.

It must be higher since we are going in June. I checked this out & after tax it is $106/night. Did you go off season or have a coupon?

It was July 2012, wife found it online as we were driving. Don't remember having a coupon.

Don't know your dates, but spot checking some dates in June, found La Quinta for $64, all in, on Lastminutetravel.com. You can call and get if for a few $$ cheaper. LMT reservations are cancelable up to 3 days before checkin.
