Looking for cheap air out of Albany

Many people have told me that they got the cheap Southwest airfare out of Albany, NY. I never seem to be able to find it.

Has anyone found a secret source of this discount?

We are willing to fly out of Albany, Newburgh, or Syracuse.

I have "Ding" Downloaded.

Oh yeah, we are going at the end of September.

Keep watching the Southwest Ding. That is how I bought my round trip flight from Albany to Orlando. I booked the flight in December for my May flight and ended up getting a rate of $53 each way, with taxes and fees, and the flight is even non-stop! Good luck!

Just keep an eye on the website. I booked in November when the May dates (early May) came out and we got $57 each way. The flights had been released for only 3 hours when we booked and all the good weekend flights were already gone. We decided to fly mid-week and I got the flights we wanted. You have to be ready to book when they open up to get the flights you want. Good luck!

I also fly out of Albany,NY and I find keeping a daily eye on Southwest is a good idea.Prices change constantly.I haven't paid over $120 RT to Orlando in years.And I don't plan on it in the future either.Like the above posters said keep a daily eye out on their website.

Don't know if your heart is set on flying Southwest, but we began flying JetBlue (out of Rochester) a few years ago and have flown it ever since. They have flights out of Syracuse, some of which are nonstop. Your September dates haven't opened up yet, but they will soon and if you jump on it right away, you are likely to get a very good rate.

They have Albany to Tampa flights all the time for $79. It must be the competition as they aren't that cheap at BDL and PVD.

Actually some of our party is coming from Syracuse so JetBlue is an option. This is a family reunion.

Tampa is too far from us. We will not be renting a car.
