We loved it. I wasn't to sure I would like it after reading the menu, but the food was really good. There was entertainment. There were musicians and a belly dancer. The bellydancer came by our table and danced for me. My 2 DD's got a big laugh out of it. We ate at lunch and got the lunch special.

We ate there a few years back and loved it as well!! Belly dancers, musicians, great food and atmosphere. We are planning on going there again in Sept.!

This is my FAVORITE restaurant in Epcot. I call it the best kept secret as many people overlook it. My first time there was not by choice, a friend wanted to go so we went and I loved it. They do have the belly dancer and musicians as mentioned. Hubby and I recommend it highly to all our friends...

We loved marrakesh!!!! It was one of the best meals we had in the world. The food is fantastic. My DS3 loved the beef berrat rolls. The couscous is out of this world (and I hate couscous, kinda like eating sand). We are quite fond of morrocan food because we have a local morrocan restaurant so we knew ahead of time that the menu wouldn't put us off. And the belly dancer was much better than the ones we've seen before (much thinner too) :duck:

We enjoy this place quite a bit. The food is good, if a bit unusual for us, and after the belly dancer leaves, I always have to put my husband's eyes back in his head. :rotfl:

I LOVE this restaurant. I took my husband there after I went to the real Morocco and I wanted to share the food I have loved on my trip. We ordered the "Marrakesh Feast - Harira soup, Beef Brewat Rolls, Lemon Chicken, Beef Shish Kebab, Couscous with Seven Vegetables, and Assorted Moroccan pastries $32 per person " and he even loved it.
The look of the place is fun and tries to simulate the feel of Morocco, the belly dancer and musicians were a nice addition I didn't even know about when I booked the dinner.
This is not your typical american food and I think that puts some people off. Sweet pastries with a meat filling are not "normal" but they are GOOD!
I say go with an open mind and enjoy! (Take me!!!)

Another vote for Morocco. The dancer and band are very entertaining, and I love most of the food. This time I thought the chicken was nothing special, but it was still fine. The mint tea is delicious, the servers are courteous and pleasant. The decor is so nice it is worth eating there just for the atmosphere.

The restaurant is decent, but nothing special compared to the Middle Eastern type restaurants we have closer to us, mostly because the food is fairly bland and not highly spiced. The belly dancer was nice, but we haven't rushed back because of how boring many of the choices are, nothing very different or interesting.

I liked it. I eat a lot of Middle Easter food and am a belly dancer so I think I know a little something about it but just a little. The belly dancers are good, better than a lot of places I have been. Nothing too dramatic, no swords but entertaining and not at all sexy. Definatly PG not even PG13. The food is good and fairly authentic but does lack spice, even Zatar, which is a very mild spice. The Americanization of Disney food strikes again.

The Belly Dancer does not do long sets. Which was a dissapointment. By that I mean they are VERY short.

We loved it! My husband and I had the lunch special. Just not enough food for my husband and me, but we are big eaters. The food was delicious tho and when we walked in, the belly dancer was in the middle of her act. Very nice atmosphere and staff. :thumbsup2

Ate there in Oct, and thought it was okay. I won't be rushing back. I had the sampler platter, and thought the only thing that was really good was the chicken kabab. There was a belly dancer. The service there was nice, but very slow.

There were 12 of us, 6 kids and 6 adults. They had to put us at 2 tables. I thought the food was very good and so was the belly dancer. The food was not as highly seasoned as a local Morrocan restaurant we've gone to. They also have some "American" food on the kids menu for kid who are not interesting in trying the Morrocan food.

Get the feast--it allows you to sample a lot of different things.

It would be a totally new dining experience for all of us !
Food might be "iffy" for some though....
Does the Dancer do a Show on Stage or Just Walk Around.....AND How Often is the show and does it last very long ???
I mean, Will We See it during our meal ?????
THANKS :thanks: :goofy: :sail: :dancer: :wizard: party: :drinking1 :car: :earsboy: :tigger: :fish:

My whole family LOVES Marakesh, including the somewhat picky 3 and 5 yo's. Our last visit was for lunch. The lunch menu is pretty much the same as the dinner. The belly dancer and musicians perform at lunch as well as dinner. The staff here is fantastic with children. When my dd slipped and hit her head on the table when sliding into our booth, one of the CM's scooped up my screaming dd and took her next door to the Kidcot station. When she returned a much happier dd in a few minutes, another CM brought out a bowl of ice cream (after asking me, of course) to keep her happy. The food and attention you receive her is excellent. I can't wait to return in March!

I think we are going to give it a try ! It sounds quite unique and good and very pleasant!
THANKS !!
On Another Note: QUESTION:
Any other restaurants anyone can recommend for a group of 10ppl that has some form of entertainment ( Other then the Dinner Shows or Character Meals) Just Wondering ! Any Feedback Please !!?? :tink:

I'm wondering if we should check this place out for our next trip . I'm used to homemade middle eastern/north african food so it might be a letdown but the belly dancer sounds like fun. Does she pull people on stage to dance with her?

How about Beirgarten? A band, dancing, it's great fun! We spent a couple of hours there.

We ate there in May of 2004 and thought the food was good. Wait staff were also good. Much to DH and SIL there were no belly dancers. :confused3 Our waiter said they were on break..LOL we were there for 1 1/2 hours..some break!
