We're going to be at disney from July 11 - july 19th. . . it's our honeymoon (:Pinkbounc ) lol

we leave boston/logan at around 11am. . . is it worth it to spend part of that day in the parks. . or would we be better off hanging by the pool, getting settled, doing chef mickey's that night and getting up early monday morning for the AK EMH (i think that's what monday is :) )

thanks in advance for any advice you can give me :)

What sort of passes do you have for the parks?

If you have a limited amount of park hopper days to use, I'd maybe wait (depending on what time the parks are open till).

If you have an UPH pass as part of your package (legnth of stay pass) I'd head straight over!

:)

Have fun!

Congrats! We honeymooned in Disney as well nearly 18 yrs ago!! Whether we go into the parks on arrival day depends on several factors. If you leave Boston by 11am, you will probably arrive at MCO appx 2.5 to 3 hrs later right? Then, are you renting a car or taking a shuttle? I always figure at least 90 minutes from arrival at MCO to checkin at hotel. What type of tickets will you have? If you have ultimate park hoppers (length of stay type) then I'd go to a park. If I have hoppers, then I'd probably not enter a park since it won't really be worth it for a few hours. What hotel are you staying at? There is sooo much to see in Disney that you can find tons of things to do outside of the parks. We like to explore the resort, ride the monorail, unpack, visit downtown Disney, and then have dinner at Chef Mickey's on arrival day. It puts us in the mood. You may be able to time your dinner so that you can go up to the top floor of the Contemporary and watch the fireworks over the Magic Kingdom. We stayed at the Cont on our last trip and watching from up there was a great experience!!!!

we have the 5 day park hopper plus ticket and we also have a 2 day pass to universal/ioa

does that help lol

we're taking the shuttle from the airport. . . . and we're staying at port orleans riverside :)

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

We'd generally skip the first 1/2 day in the park.........Our opinion is that it IS a waste of a day on the park pass........

Normally we'd settle in and then head over to DTD to do some eating and shopping.............:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

i'm thinking it's going to be downtown disney. . . it just seems to make the most sense :) (to me anyway lol)

thanks for the opinions!
