We just got back from our first stay atBKT. Loved it. It was great to walk to MK with EP short ride on the monorail we only spent one day at the other 2 parks so taking the bus was no big deal. So my question already planning for next jan. we're thinking of trying a resort where you can walk to Epcot. But I'm not sure even what resorts these are and how close to Epcot. So basically I'm looking for any info on this. Any and all tips will be greatly appreciated. How many points approximately for the end of January for 2 in a studio. Thanks all. Sorry for all the uncertainty this is only our second DVC stay. Last year we stayed at SSR we were supposed to stay at BLT but we had the flu so had to cancel. Thanks again

Beach Club Villas (BCV) and Boardwalk Villas (BWV) are in walking distance of Epcot--entering the park at International Gateway between the UK and France. About a 5 min. walk from Beach Club, 10 min from Boardwalk. Boardwalk is also in walking distance to Hollywood Studios (take the walkway by the canal), maybe 15 min. walk? There is also boat transportation between the Yacht/Beach Club, Boardwalk resorts, the Swan and Dolphin resorts, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios.

Beach Club villas give you access to 'Stormalong Bay' the feature pool at Yacht and Beach club. Pirate Ship Waterslide, sandy play area, small lazy river area.

Boardwalk has a community hall, the Keister Coaster waterslide...where you exit through a clown's mouth, nightly entertainment on the boardwalk (jugglers/magicians, etc), multiple restaurants, carnival games, dueling piano bar, ice cream shop, bakery, shops, etc.

We prefer the Boardwalk for easy access to 2 parks, for the boardwalk itself, and the community hall.

I would grab that week very soon. It's a popular week because it's super cheap, although quite as popular as it usually is with the marathon getting pushed back a week to the second weekend in January.

Boardwalk doesn’t have a traditional QS eatery. (There is the bakery and a pizza window, and a non-Disney stand)
And since all dining is on the boardwalk, it requires a walk outside. (A slight bummer if it’s raining or cold)

BC has a bit better QS options.

In terms of QS, both resorts are ideal if you have hoppers and use World Showcase as the best food court on property.

you can stay at BLT and easily visit Epcot - you can take the monorail to the T/T then transfer to the Epcot monorail. Now it does take you to the front of Epcot.

the epcot resorts go in the back way not the front. Also BLT is across the street from where the MK buses stay - you can walk over there and take the BWV, or BC/YC bus to their resort - the buses will let you out in the front - you need to go thru the building to get to Epcot. the monorail is generally faster.
