I have only purchased travel insurance once, and that was for a cruise. We have an upcoming DVC trip in December and I'm wondering if we should buy the insurance. Mainly thinking of bad winter weather, and possibility of illness.
I've tried reading thru the several pages of policy info, but I had trouble absorbing/understanding all of what it says. I'm hoping that there are people here on the Dis that can explain things for me. Has anybody had experience with the insurance? Does it cover everyone in our family that will be going? Grown children, grand-children, etc?
As I understand it, the cost is $99 per use year. So for this Dec trip, we'll be using 2018 points that were banked, as well as some 2019 points. So I would pay $99 x 2. We also have another trip in June. This trip will also be using 2018 and 2019 points. Maybe some borrowed 2020 points. Will the insurance purchased now for our December trip also cover the 2018 and 2019 points used for our June trip?
I would love to hear pros and cons concerning the travel insurance.
Thanks for your help!
