My sister and I may take a taxi or two while at WDW. I have never used a taxi before. While I know how to "work" the bus system, somtimes transfering at another hotel/park/DTD to get to the final place takes a lot of time. I plan to have our resort call for a taxi before we need it, but I have a couple of questions.

1. Does the driver make change?
2. How much do I tip?
3. If we go from WL to AKL about how much might I expect to pay?

Thanks!

1. Yes, within reason.
2. 15% to 20%, but not less than a dollar.
3. See the Taxi Fare Estimator in the Popular Transportation Links 'sticky' thread.

You shouldn't need to call for a taxi in advance - most likely, there'll be at least one outside the front door, or one can be flagged over from the parking lot by Bell Services, or they'll call one for you.

Most fare within WDW are between $10 and $20. If you round up the fare, then add $2 that's almost always an appropriate tip (if the fare is close to $20 and there isn't much rounding up, go ahead and make it roundup + $3).

Thank you so much for your help!! It is so nice to be informed and the Dis has such kknowledgeable and nice people!

you got good answers so far.

We use cab's alot at WDW and we always use bell services out front for one if there isnt one right there. If bell services is used and they open the door for you , I don't know about everyone else , but I tip them for getting me the cab and helping us into it.
