Hi. I'm planning a trip with my sister to Florida. I like Disney:cool1:, she likes to sit on the balcony and breathe in Florida:confused3 Can anyone recommend a place for us?
Thanks

Sounds like you know each other well...
quick questions...High balcony overlooking lots of stuff and not for anyone with fear of heights or just a nice balcony anywhere, just a long as it is Florida??
Also, balcony in a hotel room or nice balcony in a one or two bedroom condo with kitchen two bathrooms, and big living area??
Is budget an issue...$30-50/night...50-80/night or what the heck, go for it!!

Ted

Marriot World Center has rooms with balconies and it's close to Disney. If you get the right room, you can see some of Disney's fireworks.

Good questions Ted. Definitely not too high (sis doesn't like heights). And at least 2 rooms, too much togetherness you know :rotfl: kitchen would be good. And sis did request a nice quiet pool. The Disney villas are a little too pricey for us but we're not looking at budget hotels.
I did look at the Marriott a bit, but the World Center seems huge.
Just wondering if there's anything else out there that would fit us.

The World Center is very big and if you are wanting two rooms then this wouldn't work unless you got connecting rooms.

I would try the Palisades Resort. Ask for a room facing the nature perserve out back. Two bedroom has two screened balconies. One large one off the living and second bedroom, and one small one off the master bedroom.
Short drive down 192 from Disney, nice pool area and we got a two bedroom for under $100/night.

I'd recommend the new Lake Eve Resort. It's on south I'Drive and all balconies face Lake Eve.
These are condos not hotel rooms (if that would work for you). You could get a 2 bedroom so you'd each have your own "space".

wyndham bonnet creek - now the views are not Floridian - but some can see the fireworks.

it is very, very close to WDW.

Hi, all great suggestions!
There are just soooooooo many options and if price is not a big factor, I would definately look at a nice two bedroom two bath condo. Bonnet Creek is really nice and in the middle of all the Disney action...

I did on search and found this site for $900 week at Bonnet Creek http://www.vacationtimesharerentals.com/listings/67651/

You can definaly find private owned two bedroom condos just outside Disney for lots less, but if you google "rent 2 bedroom bonnet creek Disney condo" you will get lots of results.
If you want look outside Disney for less $$ here is one site that comes up
http://www.vacationtimesharerentals.com/listings/67651/

Again there are so many options so don't try to check them all. Windsor Hills is a very nice gated community about 10-15 minutes from the parks. If you drive from Bonnet Creek it will be 5-10 minutes to the parks from inside of Disney World so you will be driving to get anywhere inside of the 40 square mile Disney World regardless of where you stay...

Have fun and enjoy...Ted

the picture in my signature was taken on our balcony at Blue Heron last spring. You can see my kids jet skiing if you squint your eyes enough! I loved our balcony. Sunrise was beautiful!

I also want to suggest the Blue Heron. Nice 2bdrm/2bath condo with one balcony facing the lake of the living room and another balcony off the master bdrm facing disney fireworks. Located right around the corner from the World Center on Rt 535. Ideal location for any of the theme parks and right down the street from the DTD entrance.:)

There is a great deal on southwest.com under vacations. Book the flight, room, car and tickets. Depending on when you are going there are some great deals. 40% off rental car, buy one night get one free, buy one universal and/or sea world ticket and get one free. Really is a great price. I am staying at sheraton vistana villages 2 bed 2 bath condo. I have stayed there about 5 years ago and it was beautiful. Screened in porches, hot tub, jaccuzi in your room, full kitchen, washer and dryer, large pool and another quiet adult pool. 4 of us for nine days was $2500 including car, direct flight, universal for a week and one day at seaworld.:cool1:
Take a look.:thumbsup2

Not off site, but the balconies at Old Key West in 1 and 2BR units are fanatstic---very "Florida", very large, very close to your BEvERages, and a great place to spend a lazy afternoon.

Dependinng on when you are going, and whether or not you're including weekend nights, a rental from an owner could be reasonable.
