We are getting into this thing where we have been going to the same restaurants each time we go to WDW because we KNOW we like the food...Well, this time we decided to try a couple of places we've never been... We've decided to go to O'Hana for dinner (something new for us) and to Crystal Palace for dinner (also something new for us).... Now for my question..... We don't want to "travel" far from the park and need something for the evening we are in EPCOT that will be new for us... We're willing to go to the Boardwalk area resorts also but.... We are looking for a Dinner... looking at Restaurant Marrakesh OR Askersaus OR Captains Grille OR Kouzzina... SO for those who can give a little advice and your opinion of the places.... We have 3 adults and two kids...but used to dining out and are usually pretty good...

You don't mention the DDP, if you are not on the DDP then I would highly recommend Todd English's Blue Zoo at the Dolphin. We take the boat from Epcot right over!

This is one of our new favorite restaurants, the menu and drinks are creatively prepared. Everything is so good! Take a peak at the menu on allears.net. Love the Tuna Tartare, the garlic parmesan fries... I could go on and on!

We also really enjoy Kouzzina, another good choice. (The whole roasted fish, wow)

We too, look for alternatives, something new and different!

I'm also one who likes to stay with what I know and like and I'm not adventurous when it comes to trying new dining. I usually check out the menus to make sure there is at least one meal that I would eat, even if it's just a decent burger or a steak. There used to be a lot of favorites and even those I wasn't crazy about would have something I could be happy with. Lately, there's less of that, but there are also a lot of new restaurants I haven't tried yet. There are a few around the Boardwalk that have my interest. You might go to the menus on these boards and check them out.

Check out The Wave at the Contemporary! Great food and a great atmosphere! :thumbsup2

How about La Hacienda? I want to try it because it's so new.

Enjoy.

:)

I had a great experience with Akershus. I was a bit hesitant about the food prior to going, but it's one of my favorite meals I've had with my mom. I would honestly say that for the food and the princess interaction, I enjoyed this meal more than *gasp* CRT. (I still adore being in the castle, but other than that, I'd take Akershus any day.)

Plus, the picture that you get is an added bonus. (And, one that I cherish greatly!)

We have always had great meals at the Captain's Grill in the Yacht Club.

We have eaten at Marrakesh and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was good and the atmosphere was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful service.

We have also eaten at Kouzzina and Captain's Grille. We didn't enjoy Kouzzina as 3 of our entrees were salted to the point of being inedible. Captain's Grille was pretty good but I wouldn't travel out of my way to eat there again.

If you haven't eaten there before I would recommend both Chefs des France and Tutto Italia. Tutto Italia is a very good deal on the DP.

I had a great experience with Akershus. I was a bit hesitant about the food prior to going, but it's one of my favorite meals I've had with my mom. (I'm an adult, btw, who surprised my mom with a "princess night," beginning with dinner there.) We had a great time with the princesses, and we both really enjoyed our food. (My mom is a rather picky eater, and she still talks about how much she enjoyed it, too!) I would honestly say that for the food and the princess interaction, I enjoyed this meal more than *gasp* CRT. (I still adore being in the castle, but other than that, I'd take Akershus any day.)

Plus, the picture that you get is an added bonus. (And, one that I cherish greatly!)

I feel the same way! My in-laws took us on a trip 5 years ago and we went to Akershus as my nieces love the Princesses. It was my favorite meal of the trip (Traditional Kjottkaker) and it was the first ADR I booked for my April trip.
