We are planning a "non-Disney" Orlando trip (just for some variety, been to Disney 5 times in the last 14 months.)

We will have three full days in Orlando and wanted to do a day at Legoland. We may just get the year pass, since it's not much more - so there's the possibility of another half day if we feel like we need it.

Any touring plan tips? Daughter is 6yo and is fairly adventurous (likes all disney coasters except space mountain). about 46 inches tall.

anyone have a great touring plan for lego land? Can it be done in one day. The park is open 10-5 the day we are going.

THANKS in advance.

We did it in 1 day and are going back again in March. We found that getting their at rope drop was a huge advantage we did not see crowds until almost noon and that was on a Sunday.
Then best piece of advice is to hit the "Schools" first. Driving school and boating school have a very limited capacity so you should hit them early before the lines grow long.
Chima will get you SOAKED so plan accordingly.
The 4-D movies are nice, but they are mostly the older Lego style where the characters don't talk.
The Ski show is well done and a great break in the afternoon.
Try to wait and do the actual Lego center building stuff until afternoon when the lines are longer.

I concur with everything GlenR wrote. It can definitely be done in a day. We were there last March and did a similar plan. The worst lines we experienced were for the Dragon roller-coaster and the Lost Kingdom Adventure (similar to Buzz Lightyear), but they were not bad (15-20 minutes). Definitely save the Lego creations in the center of the park for the end.

Totally agree. We went in June and had almost no problem getting everything done. Our main issue was that thunderstorms kept coming through the area so they kept closing all the rides. Most of the time it wasn't even raining, but I guess if they are within a certain mile radius they have to close everything, I think for at least a half hour, maybe longer. They started around 2:30 but by that time we had ridden everything but one coaster at the front of the park. We spent a lot of the thunderstorm time looking at the lego miniatures and seeing he 3-d shows. My kids were 5, 9 & 10 and absolutely loved the park. My DS5 actually said "this is so much better than the Magic Kingdom". Have a great time. We didn't do the waterpark so that would take some additional time.

Great Tips! Thanks! We're going as well in 1 month and are looking forward to it!

We did it in one day on Jan. 1st, New Year's Day, this year and had no problems. We did everything we wanted to do multiple times, spent lots of time exploring miniland and the gardens, and were done by 4pm. The only thing that ever had long lines that day was the technic Test Track coaster. In fact, we ran straght to the Driving School, but that ended up being kind of a bust because my son was literally the only person on the track. We even did it twice, hoping some other kids would show up the second time, but they didn't. He was all alone and had to just drive around all the empty parked cars. Lol. Not really much fun without other drivers. We did enjoy our day there, though, despite the fact that my son (11) was probably on the upper limits as far as age goes. His favorite thing was Lost Kingdom Adventure...think Buzz Lightyear ride with Lego mummies. :hyper: Don't miss the water ski show. That was really fun, too!

Wow, thank you all!!! Really excited and sounds like we can get a lot done!! We ended up getting the anual pass since it was only $24 more "just in case" we want to add another day there.

Thanks for asnwering!!!
