looking for a great grouper dinner

Might sound like a weird request, but grouper is my hubbys favorite fish. Anywhere not in the actual parks that we can go to?

That's a difficult one. There are several restaurants that offer the catch of the day but you can't know what that might be until you get there. That said, I don't recall grouper being mentioned for any of them. Maybe the Boathouse at Disney Springs?

Boathouse does have a grouper dish: Gulf of Mexico Red Grouper - Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Onions, and Arugula, Charred Leek Butter. California Grill has grouper in their cioppino dish but unfortunately it's a prix fixe menu there unless you're sitting at the bar. They also used to have a grouper entree but looks like it's off the menu for now.

When are you visiting? Florida red grouper season (gulf waters) runs January through July so you're probably more likely to find it on menus then.

I've only been able to find good grouper out by Clearwater and St. Pete beaches.

Yes to this. I wait for our when we do a St. Pete Beach add-on after WDW to get my grouper fill.

Whenever we go to the Boathouse, I order the Grouper. I have also had it at Toledo at Coronado Springs.
