We are driving down to WDW in two weeks from OH.

We are planning on breaking up the drive with an overnight stay. We already have our hotel for the drive down, but are now looking for a good one on the way home.

We stayed at a Best Western outside of Atlanta last year and it was the WORST hotel we've ever stayed at! I'm not saying all BW are bad.. the one we stay at in Gainesville is wonderful, but that one was horrible! The top door wouldn't lock shut... we complained and the manager said "well we can get you another room, but you have to make sure nothing has been messed up in yours, I have to put someone in there" Then the second room the bottom lock wouldn't lock right.. we just put all of our suitcases up against the door and planned on leaving really, really early in the morning. Well overnight the power went out and we didn't get up early like we wanted to... but when we did we woke to find ants all over the bathroom!!

So.... we need a new hotel. Any suggestions?? We'll be traveling on I-75 so we'd prefer something that has easy highway access.

We're hoping NOT to spend more than $100 with tax included.

Have you tried to check out hotels on expedia.com? I have had some good luck finding hotels on there. (At least on Cape Cod)

Have a nice trip.

We have searched all of the sites..that's where we got our last one from.

I am hoping for some personal experience help. :goodvibes:

Well, I live in Atlanta, so it's not like I stay in hotels here a lot, but I've had relatives stay in some near me, so I can recommend.

If you're looking for something off I-75, there are some decent ones in the Cumberland Mall area. I'd go with the Hampton Inn or La Quinta. There are lots of nice (but probably more pricey) places near the Cobb Galleria Mall/Convention Center, too.

we were in Atlanta this past weekend for our anniversary. We stayed at the Doubletree Suites in the Perimeter Area, on Peachtree-Dunwoody. It was nice and in a seemingly quiet business area of Atlanta. Right next door was a Publix and just down the road was a nice mall. I check www.tripadvisor.com before every trip other than WDW since we stay on property. Good luck! ::MinnieMo Elizabeth

We stayed at the Drury Inn in Morrow, GA on our way down last month. It's south of Atlanta on I-75, very easy to access I-75.

It was clean and the staff was really friendly, we would return here. It should be right at or just under $100 a night.

thanks for the advice so far! I will look into both of those locations :goodvibes:

Last month I stayed in the Hampton Inn by the airport--the newer one a little further away but still only a mile or two off I-75. I was traveling alone for business and felt very safe and secure. It was new and clean. The cost was a bit over $100--maybe $115, but it included a nice expanded continental breakfast with some eggs and I want to think maybe French toast. Even eating at Mc D's would make up the cost difference.
