I'm taking my mom to the movies this week, can someone recommend something good to see? The last movie I took her to was It's Complicated and she loved it, so maybe a good romantic comedy or something like that would be good.

I suggest Kick A$$... hehe :)

Does she like comedy? Date Night was really funny. If you were comfortable watching It's Complicated with her, then DN should be fine. The Back-Up Plan is a rom-com, but I haven't seen it so I can't make a recommendation.

Disney's Oceans comes out on Friday I think... and so does that Letters to Juliet. Looks good.

Have fun! I wish my mom liked movies!

I bet your mom would love, Dear John. The book was really good. Not your typical love story, but a love story just the same. If you go, bring some tissues. I cried at the ending.

Is Dear John that Nicholas Sparks movie?

I already saw Date Night, so that is out and a Letters to Juliet looks great, especially since I lived in Verona, but it doesn't come out until Friday and we are going to the movies on Thursday. And The Backup Plan is on tap for me for Tuesday night with the girls :( I'll have to look into Ocean's, I haven't heard anything about that yet.

Thanks for the ideas, keep 'em coming.

Yes. After reading the book, I want to see the movie. That's for sure.

We really enjoyed Date Night, boy it was it funny and just an all around fun movie. If she liked "It's Complicated," I would highly suggest Something's Gotta Give, by the same director. It's hilarious and I know my grandparents greatly enjoyed it (that one is on DVD though)

Oh good, Nicholas Sparks is good, both mom and I love his books. Thanks.

I brought my mom and my mother in law to see The Last Song. It was a two-tissue movie and we all loved it. Thanks for the recommendation!:thumbsup2
