Looking for a good hotel at DTD

I have a res at the Royal Plaza for Dec 5th through the 10th. Has anyone stayed here? If so please let me know what it was like or recommend a different hotel.

A friend of mine just got back from the Hotel Royal Plaza and he really liked it there. He said the staff was great, the room was larger than average and had a nice bathtub with a soaking tub. He was in tower room. It was clean and he said he would recommend it.
