I've been looking on-line for a good fanny pack OR waist pack with a water bottle. I want to wear the pack in the FRONT...and some models really only look right worn in the back.

Also, since I'm a short waisted female & size 20.... I don't want the pack to be too big....but it must be able to go around my waist.

I want to be able to use it geocaching (www.geocaching.com) & at parks...so not too big....but big enough to carry cellphone, camera or GPS unit, keys, $, snacks, and other pocketbook type stuff.

Do you have such a favorite pack....and where did you get it?

I seem to collect backpacks & fannypacks like some women collect shoes! LOL  But I still don't have one with a water bottle.

Try gearlabs.com. Their prices are a lot better than most and they have all sizes. Good luck!!

Thanks, I looked at ebags. Considered a few. Didn't know about gearlabs.

Any others?

Check out EMS and REI both of whom have online sites. Oh, also campmor as well.

I actually just got an email also from sierratradingpost and one of the featured items was a small fannypack, with a waterbottle designed to be worn to the side. I can dig out the email and forward it to you if you want to take a look. Just shoot me a PM if you want it.

Here's the link to the pack from sierra. Hey, for $9.95 it might be worth a shot anyway.

I got a nice one last year with a water bottle at Walmart, might be too early in the season for them to be out yet.

We got one from REI when we lived in Phoenix - still use it 5 years later. We take it hiking, to theme parks, all over the place. I'm also a larger sized, and this one fits me...

I had one (see pic in siggy below), but I wore it out on our last trip.:( It had 2 side pockets to hold bottled water in. I kept 1 bottle of water in it and kept the other pocket for easy access stuff for my kids to get to (disposable cameras, snacks, etc.). I got it at Kmart about 5-6 years. I think it was only like $15 or so. I could get a whole bunch of stuff in there.

Well, I checked all the websites (many I never heard of & didn't come up in google searches)..and took a trip to WalMart & Target. To my surprise, I selected 2 at Target that I clearly passed up on the web based on pictures alone. Walmart was pretty cleaned out. And I didn't even think of Target. I never go there.

These are not large...but VERY roomy.

I got this for $15: http://www.outdoorproducts.com/proddetail.aspx?sku=1233U
Zipper for main compartment opens really wide. Very good if I'm ever taking our Olympus C750 anywhere. Very roomy for 300 cu inches.

Also, got this for $10: http://www.outdoorproducts.com/proddetail.aspx?sku=1231U Good for DH for bike / geocaching that he does when he's away on army "business" trips & doesn't have a car. OR even just for me sometimes.

Between these 2 & the LLBean (1 bottle) one DH currently uses (which is a size in between), I think we are good! I really thought I was looking for more....but seeing them in person really helped. Now I just need to return the Jansport 625 cu inch lumbar pack I ordered. It's huge!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
