Okay, help me out here. I need a pity party. Will someone bring the drinks and someone else bring the chocolate?

I am so overwhelmed with my life right now. Between work and home I think I'm going to bury myself in a hole and not come out!

Even with my Stills Disease and the accompanying illnesses like Fibromyalgia, I work 45 hours a week at a job where I am on my feet 80% of the day (much to my doctors dismay..lol)

When I get home around 6:30-7:00, I can barely eat dinner before the pain takes over and I have to go to bed.

Now, my Mother lives with my husband and I because she is getting up in the years (well she is only 74) but I've been supporting her since I was 18 because she had to support me for the first 18 years of my life when my Dad left but I'm digressing.

Now I'm not the neatest person in the world, but I would at least keep the house presentable before I got sick. Do you think that DH or DM could do anything at all to help keep the house up while I'm sick? Ummm NO. It is a freakin' mess right now with boxes laying all over the place, piles of mess on any flat surface.. UGHHHHH!!! I just don't have the strength to do it myself! I'm at my wits end.

Maybe a few seconds of a pity party will do me good ;) Then I'll toughen up, double up on my vicodin, and try to get some of this mess taken care of!

It's the best I can do for right now!

Just sit down and put your feet up and close your eyes!

Voila! The mess is gone, at least until you open your eyes again!

Hang in there, Sweetie! We love you!

Lauri, you sound like you need some Kahlua.;) I hope you get to feeling better soon.

OK guys. Let's all jump in the car, drive over, and clean up for her. She deserves it!

My family will gladly help IF I give them a specific assignment. Tell DH and DM you need a little help. Pick ONE room and tell them they can leave messes everywhere else but this ONE room MUST stay uncluttered. Then you'll always have one place to retreat to that is peaceful.

Good luck to you, Lauri! I hope things get better soon!!

:grouphug: Sweetie:grouphug: I'm going through an awful time myself so I understand how tireing and frustrating, especially at this time of year, it can be. I've been wanting to run away from home for several weeks now. But we must be strong and try to take it all in our stride. I don't talk much about my personal life here, but what I wouldn't give for a good night's sleep right now, and tell them what they can do with my job. Stay stong::yes::

If I could I would run right over and clean your house myself!! Write them a letter that you would like this room cleaned by the time you get home from work or there will be consequences. Then leave and dont come back until you know they have had time to clean it up. Hang in there, the holiday season is almost over. :p

I think Doe has the right idea....keep at least your bed room clean so you can run and hide in there when the mess overwhelms you....and give DH and Mom assignments....

I can't even imagine the pain and frustration you are suffering but I'm sending good thoughts, PD, Prayers and ((((((((((HUGS)))) your way....you alway seem to brighten my day with your posts and polls! They mean so much! Take care of yourself!
