We don't need it until August 2007, but I'm willing to organize a "swap" if anyone wants to donate their 2007 AAA Parking Pass. I'll make sure lots of Dis'ers get their share!

PM me if you have one to donate...

Actually by joining AAA doesn't mean you can get a Diamond parking pass. You have to book a trip through AAA to get one. Some people will not drive while at WDW so they graciously donate it to someone that is driving. I think it is a great idea. no one is getting hurt by doing this and someone benefits. I have asked for one before. And a nice Dis-er donated one to me. It helps when you are older and have a hard time walking great distances, it is right beside the HC lot.

I also find the attendents do not care about the date on the pass. Last year '06 AAAwas sending out '05 passes and they worked.

I agree! They are NOT to be switched from one guest to another. Your park ticket cannot be switched to me either.

Passing a AAA parking pass around the DIS is dishonest.

I wonder what folks think when the AAA lot is full on thier vist. Do they realize it's because others are using passes they "borrowed"??? The passes are intended for use by those who they were given to by AAA. I expect that if this trend of "begging" continues at some point either Disney (who monitors this site) and/or AAA (who should monitor so they would know how truly useless thier TA's tend to be) will wise up and start putting valid dates on the passes that agree to your booked vacation.

Geez...
I am a AAA member, and I can't use AAA to book the free dining package I had to make a special trip to Disney in Dec 2006 for.

Sometimes the people on these boards can be so ???? well, insert what ever word comes to mind after reading these responses....

Perhaps I can start ANOTHER issue to add to the long list of issues which seem to be forbidden here....:cool2:

If you are a AAA member, just ask for a pass from them. Last year we drove and I had a trip tic done ( in store) When I went to pick it up , I explained that I was driving and showed them my reservation confirmation( I booked with Disney) and they gave one to me.( at the counter) Sometimes the travel agents keep a couple of extra ones ( I know mine does) in case the packages don't arrive on time.AAA passes are for AAA members, it's one of our perks, right.

It is not a guaranteed perk. I know I am an AAA member but don't book with them as I am DVC and a Disney TA. We have 2 local offices and neither will just give it. My Dad was sure he could get it even though I could since his card since member since "the beginning of time" (ok, I am exaggerating by a few years). Well, no luck for him either.

Not trying to fuel the fire, just stating our experience.

I see your tag says "northern girl". Any chance the AAA office that gave you one is near Detroit?

Nope. I'm Canadian. And I think if you ask them , and explain your situation, (and that someone you know has had this done for them..... ;) )
you shouldn't have a problem. Just give them a big PLEEEEEEEAAAASE!
PM me if it doesn't work...

If your DAD didn't book a trip , then he wouldn't be able to get one. I'm saying if YOU book a trip , and are taking your car, and just ask them , why would they refuse? You booked a package , just not through them.
I have really nice agents here in our office. They really want to help you out.

I don't see much difference between passing a AAA pass on to someone else and a FL resident getting one via purchasing tickets and then using it all year 'round. I use the AAA lot on every visit, all year 'round, and haven't encountered it being full at any of the parks yet! They sometimes even let me use it during the blackout dates.

Just to clarify we were all going. My parents were paying for 4 rooms. It was just easier for me to go to AAA.

Apples and monkeys (aka invalid comparison). The BounceBack program was available ONLY to Guests staying in a Disney resort at the time they booked that package. I'm  why anyone taking advantage of that limited-availability test package would expect or think or whatever that the package could be booked through AAA - since Guests had to be staying onsite and book either in person at a special desk set up at only two resorts, or from their Disney resort room phones by calling a special number.

What? Who said I expected or thought I could book through AAA? I just said that was the reason I COULDN'T book through AAA.

Mods: I started this stupid thread. How do I get it closed?
