Looking for 12 Points in May '05

I am new to DVC and would like to rent/purchase 12 points for SSR in a studio on May 26 (Thursday). I am not sure of the best way for this transaction to happen.

1. Does somebody just make the reservation for me and I pay for the confirmation?
or
2. Should I just have the 12 points transferred to my account?

Please help!
