Look at your Sprint cell phone bill

For those who get discounts on their cell phone bills through their employer (or through a co-user's employer), you may want to look at your cell phone bill.

Mine (print date 6/27/11) shows that the employer discount is no longer there! I called and Sprint doesn't know what's going on and is going to "trouble shoot" it (send in a ticket to another department). I hope they fix it soon because it's a $20+ savings each month.

On a related topic, which pre-paid cell phone carrier do you recommend/prefer? I am considering switching once my contract is up. I am in the Inland Empire in California (Southern California) so I hope to find one that has good service in Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Orange, and Los Angeles counties.

Can't help you with switching. We moved here from Pasadena and I have always had Sprint as my cell carrier.

Any chance your company's contract with Sprint has expired? My employer discount is still showing.

Got our bill yesterday and the employer discount of 23% is still showing.

If you are supposed to have an employer discount, I would call, because ours showed up I believe inthe first bill, we didn't have to wait, like you do with some other discounts.

I use Virgin Mobile, which is piggy backed on the "sprint" network. They should offer the same service as you currently have and have several options for service

I was going to say virgin Mobile too! They use the sprint towers. 25.00 bucks a month gets you 300 talk minutes, unlimited text and unlimited data. We just started daughter out on this because it was cheaper than adding here to our sprint contract (40.00 a month).

I resolved the issue with Sprint. They still showed the discount on my profile but for some "accounting" reason, it didn't apply the discount to my bill. Fortunately, they gave me a credit for a similar amount for this month.

Now, I'm just having issues with Sprint in general. Yesterday, 10 dropped calls when it showed 5 bars for service.

Oh, and if you try to get the employee discount online, it says you agree to a new 2-year contract! So, make sure that doesn't happen to you either.

For prepaid, I am thinking Metro PCS family plan. $35/month per line (2 lines = $70) and get unlimited talk, text and web.

Happened to me a year ago. It took several phone calls. No one knowing anything more then the next person. Got a lot of credits. Don't get to excited it tooks months for it to show. Good Luck.
