LOOK at this Autograph book

These are very easy to make. Just download clipart on cardstock. I put one picture & character name on one half of the paper then turned it the opposit way through the print and printed the second character and name. My son's loved picking out the pictures - creating an individual book for each of them. Next step is to use a paper cutter down the middle of the cardstock. Then take the pages to Kinko's or a print shop and they will evenly cut & bind the pages. The cost is about $5 at Kinko's. They turn out great. When we used these last time the character really loved seeing pictures and my boy's loved them because the picture showed which character it was, because sometimes it is to read the signature

This has given me some great ideas! I ordered some really cute Disney embellishment and page kits from Creative Memories, not realizing they were for an 8x8 book  So the stickers and stuff are so small they would get lost on the big 12x12 pages I typically do, so they've been languishing on the shelf. But an autograph book -- what a great idea!

Ha ha, I thought $25 was cheap for all the supplies and labor. That is speaking from a scrapbooking perspective: I doubt I could have purchased all the papers and embellishments for less than $25. It's very cute!

I was thinking this. To make just one book, you would most likely spend as much if not more. We want 7 of them though, so we could do it cheaper I am sure. But, not time and not talent I think makes them a good deal for us! ;)

Michael's sells the blank spiral bound autograph books in black and in white and they are only a few dollars. You can find them in the scrapbooking aisles. :flower3:

OMG its adorable! I agree you could make it cheaper yourself but I don't know if I'd have the time. I also sent a message to the seller and begged her to make me one!

Oh I didn't know that is was clip art printed on cardstock. I was thinking that each page had a character sticker on it. I guess you could do it at home cheaply if you had a good printer (which I don't, so I still think it is cute and a good deal!).

That seller is out of town until the 11th, so give her some time to get back to you. We ordered ours...for our Girls Week and she is going to make them for us by the 23rd. We got a bulk deal too..woohoo! We ended up getting the Mickey covers, which you see in her feedback.

I agree with you. It always amazes me when someone says "I can do that... for a lot less"
Sure, you might be able to make something "like" it, but it will not have all the embellishments something like that has and it definatly won't have the same type/quality of papers. I speak from experience. My kids autograph books were very similiar and cost me that much easily.
Autograph books at the parks weren't exactly cheap either.

Fancy! And cute! I think I would stress too much about HAVING to find all the characters in the book though b/c if I had that book I probably wouldn't be able to rest until I had every page filled in (maybe I would have to forge some sigs ...:rolleyes1 ).

:lmao: Forging siggies!

I go so much, I will eventually get them all signed, I hope, but that is a great idea for the ones you just can't get!

Thanks for the heads up! I checked my messages this morning and didn't see any from her so I'm happy to keep checking after she gets back. I'm also happy to hear we can get different covers.

I agree, from a scrapbookers perspective I think 25.00 is really cheap for her time and all those papers and embellishments. The chipboard book would run 5-10 dollars just for that. Then she had roughly 55 pages (probably back and front) so 25 pages of good heavy cardstock, each personalized with a character. Good Bazzill cardstock is about .50 cents a sheet, and add the time and other embellishments....you're at your 25.00 mark easy, making probably about .10 cents for your time :(

Cute idea though, I may make one if I ever get through with the other scrap projects I have going.

I am totally LOLing about the forged signatures! Yeah, it might take two or three trips to the world to get all the signatures.

I bought a book at DW that had one page for the signature and one plastic sleeve for the corresponding picture. My daughter loves it, mostly because there is a picture of her with the character on each page.

Does anyone know how much the autograph books cost if you buy them at the park?

The last time I purchased one, I believe it was $8 or $10. It depends on the kind you get too. This was what we paid a year ago, mind you. Shame on me for not picking one up before we left! Don't forget a pen!!
