Tuesday 27th September

We treated ourselves to breakfast at pop this morning (2 cs credits used as we shared the breakfast with the kids)
Again we get to blizzard beach in time for the opening (10am)

We brought the sticker to put over yesterday’s refillable mug ($6) and set up camp in tykes peak again. We only plan to stay till 1pm as we wanted to go to mgm after lunch, we had originally planned to do mgm all day but last night the kids insisted they wanted to go back to blizzard beach so a compromise was reached. :)

We really don’t do much except for lie around in the sun! :cool1:

We leave blizzard beach as planned and go to MGM via pop (to get changed) we arrive at MGM at 3.30pm and we hire a stroller for ds who is whining about being tired :guilty:

The plan today is to go on some of the rides we have not been on so far and we have an ADR for 50’s prime time at 5.40pm.

We head for the little mermaid 1st as dd is desperate to see this and after the show we wander through Walt Disney one man’s dream (this always brings a lump to my throat) I try to get the kids to appreciate how much went into the whole Disney thing but not surprisingly it goes straight over their heads!
I manage to veto going into playhouse Disney pointing out we have seen it before and its too babyish for a four year old that loves T of T. :rotfl:
we had also intended to see Indiana jones, who wants to be a millionaire and drew carey sounds dangerous but somehow time flies by and we don’t do any of them!

We arrive at 50’s prime time a little early because we are all hungry! We don’t get seated any earlier though

We have cousin dale as our server and he is very good but it’s a busy time and I found the service to be unbearably slow, we order onion rings and shrimp cocktail to start and I have the pot roast and dh has the grilled tuna plate for the entrée, The pot roast is delicious it really melts in your mouth and I really enjoy it. The kids both have nuggets for a change :rotfl2:
For dessert I had the cheesecake DH has the dads sundae and the kids have sundae as well. We get the drinks with the glowing ice-cube for the kids to their delight.
The meal itself was good but very slow and as a result we don’t get out of the restaurant till 7.45pm and MGM closes at 8pm

All our plans to ride some of the rides during Fantasmic slip away fast and then dd decided she would finally like to go on T of T so we split up as I wanted to try the great movie ride again. Dh takes the stroller and dd and me and ds head for the great movie ride. The queue is non-existent and it’s the last ride of the day. We just sit down in the car when ds announces is a panicked voice that he needs a poo!
I decide not to chance it and get him to wait so we ask to be let of the ride so I can take him to the loos.
We then wander back to T of T to meet up with DH and dd. I am reminded when they come off the ride that I am now the only member of the family not to have attempted the ride and I am pleased to say I STILL AM!

We then leave the park, as I am now really sick of ds whining and decide if he is that tired he must need an early night :teeth:

Back to the magic kingdom tomorrow and our 1st experience of bad weather :umbrella: :umbrella:

Great report Natalie - shame on you, though, for not attempting ToT :rotfl:

50s Prime Time does sound great but, as I don't eat veggies, the mere thought of a server trying to get me to eat a mouthful of green beans by doing the airplane thing puts me right off :rotfl2:

So, what's the deal with the refillable cups at BB? Is it like the ones at the hotels, where you buy the cup and then refill all day for free?

Another great trippie Nat, that pot roast sounds lovely too. I think you need to set yourself a target of trying Tower of Terror for your next trip, then can I see the ride photo !! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

yep NOT gonna happen guys !!
the mugs at the water parks have a barcode on them that you have to scan to get the dispener to work, so $10 for the mug on day 1 and then $6 per day for a new barcode sticker.
its no wonder i needed more packing room we had loads of bloomin mugs !!

Nat, another great report :)
I have a vision of all the mugs lined up along a shelf :goodvibes

Love the report. I really want to try Prime Time but don't think it will be the next trip. But I will do it one day.

Lovely instalment Natalie. We never managed to get to Blizzard Beach as the day we planned to go it rained :sad2: Never mind, we'll get there next time hopefully.

Is the photo of your DD and DS at 50s Prime Time?

yes its the herberts as they are affectionally known in our house !! dd is 7 but small for her age hence the reason ds is as tall as her at 4 years old

Natalie, please excuse my ignorance but who or what are the herberts? :confused3

My younger DD's are also the same height even though there is nearly 2 years in age between them. Younger one loves it but the elder one doesn't! :rotfl:

Another great report Nat ~ Thanx for posting.

i don't know its just a name that stuck from somewhere :confused3
you are right though dd hates that ds is as tall as her !

Lovely report again! I am also a bit wary of having veggies - luckily DH loves them so I would slide them onto his plate.

its no wonder i needed more packing room we had loads of bloomin mugs

Our's had to be left behind  along with DH's poncho and two plastic robots from Epcot as all the suitcases had to be sat on to close and the hand luggage was already very heavy (especially as DS(5) tended to let me carry it!) :sad2:

oooh pot roast :cloud9: That was the best thing I ate in all of WDW, thanks for making me jealous :rotfl: great reports,

Claire xx

Your trippies are great keep them coming

Another goodie! On to day 6!!

Great report again, to ask a daft question do you need to book to eat in the 50's prime diner and also where is it? It looks great, lovely photos.

yes you would need an ADR to eat at prime time, its next door to hollywood and vine. as you look at the hat its on your left :) lovely pot roast :)

Another great day Nat, Prime Time looks great will have to try that.
