Longest 2 hour wait for Lighthouse Point

That water! Beautiful! What do you think of the walk from the ship? I know it's only just over 1/2 mile, but it is in the blazing sun. Should they run trams?

For the first half the sun was behind a cloud and was not bad. It was hot once the cloud went away.

The trams were waiting for us and seemed to be a lot of them.

Realized you were asking about a tram on the pier. It is walkable for sure.

Looks really nice! I wish the family/adult areas were separated more, because I like the serenity part of Serenity Bay on Castaway, but it does look like a lot of very nice beach front. Thanks for posting!
At least on this trip very few people walked to the end of the family beach. It is more crowded closer to the tram stop.

If you go far to the end of Serenity Bay there is little chance to even hear the family beach.

Thanks for the report! Biting flies? Or just annoying ones. Walking that Pier would be easier if there was some shade - even just some portable shade tents once in a while. And yes, a few benches would not be a bad idea. Peas, rice and chicken - and spices? Luke maybe jerk chicken? Is there shade once you get on shore? Maybe I will bring a parasol!

Annoying flies but not biting.

There is little shade right now because all the vegetation is so new.

Lots of umbrellas and chairs though.

There are some behind the dunes as well as the ones on the beach.

Hardly anyone is on the dune side though because there is plenty on the beach side.

Keep forgetting to mention that at least today the beach for the family cabanas looked rough. It is conveniently located much closer to the ship as no tram ride is required.

Final impressions:

I loved the island.

The only two negatives are the long pier walk and the long tram ride.

The beach and water are amazing at the family beach and Serenity. Easily as good or better than Serenity Bay at Castaway Cay. The sand was so soft and the water remained 4-5 feet deep for a good distance out.

There seemed to be plenty of chairs and umbrellas. Not many people used the dune side chairs and umbrellas. Those areas might be more used with the larger ships.

The BBQ was good. It has been many years since I was last in Castaway Cay so I am not sure how they compare. There was plenty of seating and the walk was not too far from the beach.

I think there is enough separation between the family and serenity areas, unless you are in a serenity cabana. Those were on the beach buffer between the two. Otherwise it was easy to put a lot of distance between you and the family beach.

It did not look like the serenity cabanas were in use this trip.

Neither was Sebastian’s Cove, the nature trail, or the bike trails as they were still under construction.

I am not sure if Mabrika Cove cabanas were open. You only see them for a little bit when walking from the pier to the tram stop. This morning the waves were rough looking at that area. I was worried it would be like that at the family/serenity beach but it was extremely calm.

I would love a 4 day that calls on both private islands.

Thank you for taking the time to post.

Great photos.

The water color and clarity remind me of Serenity Bay, which is some of my favorite water in the world.

From photos, this looks like a nice option for us.

Us too. It looks like it captures what we love from Castaway, which is a beautiful beach experience, made easy because of nice clean facilities, great service, easy to access food, fun drinks, and pure relaxation.
