I am trying to plan a trip for fall, as I got the coveted email :cheer2: ! The options are mid to late August, possibly for 7-10 days, or Mid-September for 5 days. We have only been to WDW in late fall/winter (Thanksgiving through January). Taking into consideration the crowds, hoursm costs, etc. what would you do?

Someone posted something similiar a few days ago...Hers was a moderate for more days or a deluxe for less days...I would always say a longer vacation is better. I'd choose to have more days at WDW IMHO.

Thanks! I generally think that too, but am concerned that larger crowds and possibly hotter weather will put a real damper on the trip. We have genearally gone in cooler, low crowd times. Last time we were there a few days before Thanksgiving, and as the parks stated to get more crowded we really started to hate it! We also have a DD who is pretty sensitive to the heat, so I was wondering if September might be starting to cool off, just a little at least.

I doubt it will be much cooler in September. They probably will already be in their shorter hours pattern in September so you would have to do the parks in the daylight, except for Epcot. At least in August the parks may have longer hours and you can go in during the heat of the day. I've gone in August and the crowds were not too bad. Many schools are in session during a part of August.

If DD is heat sensitive I would go later rather than earlier. I hate it when the weather is too hot and humid. Begins to effect my sparkling disposition! :goodvibes

I have been in Aug, Sept, and October. Sept crowds are pretty low, so I don't think that will be a problem for you. It is still pretty hot though (but really, October isn't much cooler). IMO, I would choose more days.

I agree. There isn't much difference between August weather and September weather. The crowds would be thinner in Sept., but not by much. I think most people are heading home and getting their kids ready for school by mid/late August so the crowds shouldn't be too bad at all. I'd go for more days myself!! :)
