Hi all. My husband and I are heading down this upcoming weekend for a few days before hubbys work training. We are staying at the Dolphin. We only have one reservation- Cali Grill brunch- and are prepared to go with the flow for everything else.

We were just there in a January and I have a large number of restaurants under my belt since I was kid. Any suggestions to try out? Part of my wants to try things we haven’t done before but I find myself drawn to old favorites!

All suggestions welcome! pixiedust:

The restaurants right there at the Swan and Dolphin are terrific. Bluezoo is my favorite amongst them. Also love Flying Fish over at the Boardwalk. Have fun!!

The restaurants in the Swan and Dolphin are great. Epcot and Hollywood Stuidos are walking distance and if you have a park ticket I love the country restaurants. You could also head over to Disney Springs there are a lot of great restaurants there you can book through open table.

We are doing almost your entire weekend trip, staying at Dolphin and going to brunch at California Grill lol

Try to visit Trader Sams if you haven’t been there. We also enjoyed Wine Bar George.

Il Mulino in the swan is a great option. We usually eat there and then walk around the boardwalk and grab a nightcap along the way.

Capa (Four Seasons, 17th floor, Spanish/Mediterranean ), La Luce at Hilton Bonnet Creek (current #1 on Trip Advisor, Italian ), Bull & Bear at Waldorf-Astoria (#7 on TA, steakhouse) are top choices in addition to the excellent Swan/Dolphin restaurants.

Have you done any of the special dinners, such as the Wanyama Safari and Dinner at Jiko or the Omakase Experience at Morimoto? Both are delicious and fun.

We have Trader Sams to try on our list! Thanks!

We did Bluzoo last time and it was delicious. I keep checking the Flying Fish menu. Might have to give it a try!

We actually haven’t done either of those. We had a bad experience last time we were at Jiko and my hubs is hestitant to return. I’m going to look into the Morimoto one!

I'll chime in for Flying Fish as well, it's probably my top favorite. And its so easy and relaxing to do walk up and eat at the bar, so you aren't committed to a specific time.

FF is our current fav in the world right now. As previous posters have noted it's an relaxing walk back to the Swandolphin hotels and the food is in the same category as bluezoo although in my limited experience the service is better at FF; I had exceptionally bad service at bluezoo and it colors my impression of the overall experience.

If you have not yet explored some of the newer restaurants at DS this might be a perfect time to do so.

If you want to go somewhere that is just fun, try Splitsville at Disney Springs. Eat inside. I really like the bowling alley atmosphere and the food is good too.

We enjoy Raglan Road at DS. Good food and entertainment.

It is fun and the sushi is nice too. We tend to save it for times when the weather is bad.
